EDIT: I Guess my favorite video game movie would have to be Tomb Raider. It's really the only one with a functioning plot, Characters and stuff. Plus Angelina Jolie.
Because it is actually a video game movie that is faithful to the source material, and made by the same people who made the game.
Otherwise I'd probably say the original Mortal Kombat movie even though it's kind of cheesy. I also thought the Doom movie was alright for what it was, but I wasn't really expecting an academy award winner anyways so maybe that is why I wasn't disappointed.
Final Fantasy: Advent Children was pretty good considering it was basically a big budget fanwank. I also admire it for actually sticking to the source material rather than pretty much every other video game film ever made. Also, I have a completely inexplicable love for Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. I think part of the reason why is that as bad as it is, it's just cheesy fun and has so many amusing B-Movie qualities.
