hope him and his family stay strong. Jeff throughout the 10 years following his antics through gamespot have been a tremendous influence on me and got me through rough times (and im sure for others here as well). nothing but absolute respect for the dude.
God damn... Sorry for your loss Jeff. You were always very subtle in the details of your personal life (justifiably so) but things seemed to be doing better from the little you did say. Know that you've got plenty of people behind you.

This. Jeff's existence (and Giant Bomb as a whole, but Jeff's my favorite so whatever) has helped me with mine super duper lots recently, and is responsible for many many of my smiles. I honestly would be in way worse a place if it weren't for this website. I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge that as sort of a huge "thank you" to them/him.
And I am so sorry to hear about his father's passing. All the condolences and hugs and love his way. Wish there was something I could do.
Very sad news. Jeff has had a rough run of things these last couple of years, Patrick too. Here's hoping that this is the last of the sad news for staff of this site for a good long while. All condolences to Mr. Gerstmann's loved ones.
I lost my dad back in July, so this is something especially fresh for me. It sucks. It sucks a lot. I really feel for you, Jeff. My thoughts are with you and yours.

I know it must be rough, duder. I hope you can find a way to look back on the positives. It's not all bad, at least you were raised by a good guy, right? I'm sure wherever he is right now, you'll see him again in due time. You've got a lot of people who care about you guys, and I hope you remember that.

Nothing anyone could say can even come close to alleviating the pain that comes with the death of a loved one, and knowing this makes anything I have to say in these situations feel wholly inadequate. Nonetheless, you have my deepest sympathies, Jeff. You and this site have left a profound positive impact on my life since I discovered it last year. Thank you Jeff (as well as the rest of the GB crew) for the countless hours of entertainment and escapism provided in the year I've been part of this community. It has really helped brighten my life during some low times. As others have said, I hope you take as much time off as you need. You deserved it well before your profound loss occurred. Wishing peace to you and your folks going forward.
I remember the few stories Jeff would bring up during podcasts. He sounded like a great man who was cool with the path you took in life. I know you're staying strong, and I'm glad that is the case.
