Mercedes Benz DLC for Mario Kart 8

I mean, I don't really know what to say, or how to feel, but I decided it had to be shared.

Yeah, this is weird.

Mercedes-Benz isn't even Italian.

If it means Nintendo will do legitimate DLC for Mario Kart later on, I don't mind. And even if it's blatant advertising, it's free and it looks kinda cool.

For those who don't click the link, this accompanying commercial is pretty good/dumb.

DLC is only annoying when it becomes essential and thrown in your face (and they aren't including the advertising by default in a full $60 release like Madden, because fuck that transition). I'll let Nintendo tow the line while they're doing it fairly harmlessly, especially because they have some problems.

I wouldn't mind so much if that didn't look so out of place in a Mario Kart game.

Whatever. I'm all for silly dlc. Anyone who is complaining about corporate garbage blah blah blah. Who cares games have always had this kinda stuff.

That screenshot looks fucking hilarious. It would be even better if all the stats are maxed out on the car and it barrels past everyone.

That commercial is pretty great. I would play both a version of Super Mario Bros where you drive a car, and an ultra-realistic version of Mario like at the end with that real life person.

Meanwhile at EA, they're befuddled that Nintendo isn't charging $9.99 for the Benz DLC.

Also, that commercial is awesomely dumb.

Man this is pretty dumb but great! And that advertisement was pretty awesome too!
