2016 - GB Fantasy Football Leagues

Fantasy Football season is upon us! Crack your beers, pull out your cheat sheets and let's dive deep into statistics! Are you a proponent of the early TE or QB strategy? Do you zig when others zag? Or maybe you just really want that defense? Hey, we're not here to judge. Pick your league and sign up! Please do not take up a spot that you are unsure of whether or not you will be able to draft. If you do and your something comes up, please e-mail me so I can promptly replace you with another owner! Thanks, and lets all have a great year!

*To join, PM me which league you'd like and your e-mail; I will send you an invite. If you do not join the league within two days of me sending the invite, the next request up gets the invitation.

Format

• 12 team league
• Snake Draft - 60 seconds per pick - I will personally randomize the order one week prior to the draft so that you have ample time to mock draft knowing your position. (ESPN randomizes only one hour prior to the draft)
• ESPN Standard ScoringESPN Standard Roster
  • Individual players are not credited with special teams production.
• ESPN Standard Rosters
• Waiver acquisition system - Move to last after claim (does not reset weekly)
• Trade Deadline is Thursday October 27th 12 PM(just prior to start of Week 8) to prevent owners attempting to trade without the goal of bettering their team overall (i.e. offloading).
• LEAGUE 2 is 1 PPR

GB League 1 - Drafts Monday, Sep 5th, at 2100 eastern time.

GB League 2 - Drafts Thursday, Wed 7th, at 2000 eastern time

Also, the GB fantasy league run by white_sox (which has been active for three or four years) looks like it might not be happening this season due to some time conflicts. Feel free to ping people from that league if you know them!

Great! I ran two Giant Bomb leagues two years ago but couldn't last year because I was away for work. I remember there being a ton of people signing up the first year I ran them, so there should be a ton of interest. I'll go ahead and link this thread in the NFL discussions one to raise some interest.

Just shot you a pm. I'd love to get in on some draft action. I'm in an auto-draft league with friends, but I think drafting the picks would be fun. I'm somewhat new to fantasy since last year was my first time doing it, but it was a lot of fun.

Yeah i am in for another year of Giant Bomb fantasy football. It was fun last year.

@hypnotoadbrwowrowrow Could you move me over to the Beast league please? I can make both drafts, so it's no problem if you can't, but I'd prefer to represent the Beast coast after all.

Moved you to League 1. I'll keep you in league 2 until it fills up and another person wants in.

League 1 is now full! I've randomized the draft order using randomizer.com and hitting it twice (so that a random order was randomized, just to be sure). The league page is now reflects the proper draft order.

Appreciate the offer, but I'm already in two leagues with people I know IRL and don't think I have the brainpower for a third.

That is a big update! Though I'm alright with that. The league my buddies aren't starting this year was PPR, so I'll basically be picking up where I left off.

Leagues are viewable to the public! And teams will be links after their drafts so everyone feel free to keep up with the leagues!

Hey HTB, i was the other person in both leagues as originally League 2 was very short of people. I understand why you wanted to give more people a chance to play :) thanks for setting these up anyway (am Anime Editors in league one now which is great :))

Hello all! 2016 Fantasy Football season is upon us! I'm sorry I couldn't get this going any earlier but I have been busy with moving, school and work. Hopefully there is enough interest again this year to fill out the leagues. Please refer to the original post for updated draft dates.

It's first come first serve so send me a PM with your email and in the subject line, type out either "GB League 1," or "GB League 2." Feel free to ask questions in here or ping other users you think would be interested! Here's to a great year!
