So, which is worse?
The Michael Bay "Transformers" movies or the "Star Wars" prequels?
A "Which is Worse" Question that may Blow Your Mind...
" Star Wars 3 is a pretty good movie, none of the transformers are any good. "No it's really not.

" Star Wars. People should have known Transformers would suck once they saw the transformer designs. Optimus Prime with lips = WTF??The original Star Wars series was good, making the failure of the prequels much more devastating."
This.
Transformers was incredibly dumb, but entertaining. What do you expect from a movie based on a shitty 80s cartoon about robots? Come on, you nerds need to set your standards appropriately.

Hahahaha, wrong." Star Wars 3 is a pretty good movie "
The strength of the original Star Wars trilogy makes the prequels fail so hard.
As for Transformers, seriously, how much can you expect from movies based on a cartoon that was purely designed to sell kids toys?
Star Wars prequels are by far worse. Transformers are loud and stupid but they don't ruin the Transformers mythos. There are no "midichlorians" in Transformers.
I'll tell you something, I'd rather watch Transformers five times in a row than ever have to sit through Avatar again.
Star Wars Episodes I & II are worse than the Transformers series but Episode III is better than all of them.
Star wars was worse. I thought the first transformers was kinda enjoyable but the second one made me mad with how bad it was. Episodes 1-3 were all kind of terrible and i had a much higher expectation out of them.
Aside from Hayden I really enjoyed the Star Wars prequels. I also really enjoyed the first Transformers movie.
Transformers are the lesser of two evils. Only because I can laugh at how terrible they are, so they have some form of entertainment value. The Star Wars prequels, on the hand, are just...just...fucking conversation about sand. WTF?
" I liked the Star Wars prequels. "Same here. I did not enjoy the second Transformers movie, but the first one was enjoyable to watch simple because the idea was so crazy. Transformers originated as toys, after all. Never thought they'd make that into a movie.
I only watched the first Transformers movie, and it was lots of dumb fun.
SW episodes 1&2 were really bad and childish, but the 3rd one was ok, though it still had some inconsistency problems along with strange plot decisions.
I haven't watched Transformers 2, which might tip the scale, so I can't be sure yet.
Transformers is just like 2 and a half hours of Bay being Bay. If you leave your brain at the door, you may be entertained. I enjoyed Transformers 1 in parts. The second one was pretty much entirely garbage though :\
The Star Wars prequels, on the other hand, are just kind of sad because they're by a man who put so much focus in to making bajillions off merchandise etc, he no longer understands what it actually is that made the original trilogy so good. But he's also a man who has also reached such a state of godlike reverence that nobody dares to call him out or challenge him on anything. His word is law and he thinks watching CGI yoda fight is what the fans were waiting for all these years. His vision became too skewed and his approach is way too scattershot; Jar Jar Binks in the same film as murdering children and severing limbs and heads in the same film as what seems like hours of literal nonsense about trade agreements, senates and treaties. It tries to be too many things for too many people and it ends up alienating them instead. It's kind of staggering in it's ineptitude, especially the love story at the core of it all.
Star Wars is worse just because it could have been better. Transformers was exactly what you'd expect. But Star Wars could have been great. The story arc could have been really interesting but it was handled in a totally ham-fisted manner and the films are so bizarrely sterile, lifeless and awkward.
You expect mindless, cliche-ridden popcorn flicks from Bay, but the messy and soulless nature of the Star Wars prequels is actually kind of a tragedy.
Also, the redlettermedia reviews of the prequels are amazing and everyone should see them. They only go for like 5 hours all up >.>
