I am spending way too much time on my computer. Here I am, it's 2 AM Eastern and I've probably been surfing the web since 10PM or earlier. I'm on break from college and I start back on the 18th, until then I feel like there's not much to do. What do you guys do to break up too much internet use?
Advice on reducing time on the internet
There are add-ons/plugins you can install for your browsers that limit the type of access you have to the internet. You can configure them to only block certain sites, allow only certain sites, and set the conditions to such as a visit counter, time counter, etc...
Of course disabling or turning off the program will leave you back at square one, but it's a nudge in the right direction.

You could start watching more movies or read books. I tend to do those when I need a break from the internet or games.

I usually occupy myself with watching entire series of TV shows. I started with 24 then Lost and now Twin Peaks. "Yeah but, don't you watch those on the internet?

You can get a switch that you plug into your power outlet that has a timer set in it to turn on/off at a set time. If you are lazy like me and you take the time to set it up, you will eventually learn to allocate certain times of day based around when that thing is set to. Best of all, you will be too lazy to move the computer desk and just rip the thing from the wall once it turns off.
