  • Should be. It sure is a tragedy. From what I've heard, it's might because "he was picked on," or because he was about to be stationed overseas, or something like that. Bullshit, if you ask me. There truly is no excuse for this, and these guys are going to get what's coming to them.

  • Good rant, but that's about it. The title was very misleading. You can't say a game sucks because the people playing it do. Not to be a jackass, but I came to this thread expecting a rant about Rock Band and Guitar Hero, not about the people playing it.  Anyways, I do agree to a point, but it's not like everybody that plays it acts like that. Love these days isn't blind, but has an obscured vision. People getting together just because the other looks good. Having sex, getting married, then breaking up. Or maybe not even getting married. The way I see it, what matters isn't just whats on the outside, but also on the inside.

I'm really kind of inbetween. I am against abortion just because of an inconvenience. I believe that the minute the egg and sperm cell meet up, it is life. I mean, if it's a matter of the mother's life and death, an ...

In case nobody knew, yes, I've been excited about the release of DJ Hero. It's revolutionary in my book, and FreeStyleGames deserves a lot of credit for the work done on this. Yes, it's expensive. But I'm still going to get it. $120. Should be worth it.

But some of that excitement went away when I talked to a real DJ. And a very good DJ at that. I can't remember his name; he was just my friend's friend. Anyways, he started talking about DJ Hero. I told him I was excited about it, and he said it looks sweet. But he's not going to get it. He later showed me some of his equipment and explained why.

His main reason was the songs. They weren't all that creative, from what he saw of it. Like on the commercial, with Eminem and Jay-Z. He said he didn't find the song all that good. He even showed me that any Hip Hop, Rap, or both genres mixed together was fairly easy to mix. Then he went on to show me a more complicated mix, dance and hip hop. It was pretty catchy, better than what we heard on the commercial.

His next reason wasn't so relevant, but was nevertheless good. His full time hobby is DJing. He has over 80,000 songs and broadcasts 24/7, with mixes over 29 hours long. Pretty impressive, his career.

To be fair though, he did add that it would be fun for anybody who would want to DJ. But he also said he'd rather wait for the next one. So would I.

Then again, maybe I should still have hope that I will enjoy it when I purchase it. But then again, maybe it'd be funner to DJ for real. There's some food for thought.

Your thoughts?

You know, I was just playing Battlefield Heroes a moment ago. And I realized just how rude people can be these days. Now I'm not person to ruin the fun of playing around, but some people just take things way too far. They aren't messing around. They are intentionally intimidating you. And for what? Their amusement? It's real bullshit, and even though he eventually shut his damn mouth and left, I still have a problem with people like that. They are just bitching bitches that do nothing but bitch, and it really pisses me off. This blog post isn't just me whining to you, but it's... ok, you decide what it is. OTHER than whining. Please. Seriously.

So I was just playing Battlefield Heroes like I normally do. It was a few of my National friends playing around. All of a sudden, a Royal shows up. Which wasn't a problem, but he started causing problems. He kills me, so I leave for a minute to get some stuff to play serious. And then I start killing him a bunch, and he starts whining. He's saying how it's not fair because I was stealthed (I was playing as a Commando, as usual). So I politely explained how he could of prevented his death. And I killed him again. And twice more. Now, I didn't say anything annoying or offending that would've made him mad, but he starts going off. He calls me a noob, even though he's the noob getting killed over and over again. And then starts talking about how I can't run a clan (because I recently started, and ended one). And he says I don't have a life because I couldn't run it. I tell him that I have more important things in life than video games and running a clan, but he just won't stop bitching. Eventually, I tell him off and he leaves, but he just didn't seem to get it.

And this is one of many times I've come across people like this, both online and offline. People like this just really annoy me. They bitch at you and try to degrade you, and all just to make you feel bad. Or in this case, make them feel better about themselves. While I certainly don't mind joking around, stuff like this just goes too far. It's inentional, it's offensive, and it's just crap. Crap that I get tired of every day. Just go to my school for a day, and see everybody trying to pick on the nerds and people who can't defend themselves, intentionally. No mercy. (Which is not me, by the way.) It's very far that we've come this far and are like this. Once again, joking around is ok and fine with me, but when you intentionally try to degrade someone like that, it's not funny, and it's bullshit.

I don't know why people do this. Why do they want to pick on people? What do they gain from it? In the end, they gain nothing, but someone could lose everything. I've just gotten tired of it, and I wanted to get it off my back and share it with some people. It might not change, but it needs to stop to some point. That's what I think.

As it says, I was actually gone for 3 days on a short trip. Nothing special. But since I live in lower Michigan, we decided to go to the Upper Peninsula, specifically to Mackinac Island, and to Sault Ste Marie to see the Soo Locks.

In case you didn't know, the only cars on Mackinac Island are emergency vehicles. Other than that, people ride bikes and walk, mainly because the island isn't really that huge. I had a good time while I was there.

A few quick, possibly random facts to throw at you about my trip:

  • Grams of sugar consumed: 400+
  • Energy drinks consumed: 2
  • Stops at McDonalds: 3
  • Number of large drinks bought from McDonalds and consumed: 4 or more.
  • Burgers consumed: 2
  • Beers consumed: 0. Dude, I'm not old enough for that.
  • Miles drove: Around 700
  • Miles traveled on a boat: 16
  • Hours of sleep lost: Thankfully, only 9.
  • Pictures taken: 70?
  • Number of beautiful women seen: 10
