Are you a person who has trouble ordering a certain meal?

Say you go to a restaurant and you are looking at the menu, are you one of those people who needs more time to look at the menu after drinks come and they ask everyone what they want for food? Or do you change your mind once the waiter/waitress is done going around the table with everyones orders?

I ask why? My sister is terrible at this. She does basically what i described above. I usually browse the menus and have an idea of maybe 3-4 times I would like and just do an enie-meanie-minie-mo when the person comes to take our order, and then thats that. its not like its an earth-shattering decision, and whatever you get, its probably not going to be too inedible either. I am just wondering if there are a lot of people out there like that. I am not laughing at you, I am just curious.

I take forever to make decisions. Have to look at all the possible good things and bad things if I make that decision.

I usually end up ordering something on the menu but without X and y and extra Z please. I'm really picky when it comes to food.

I will never be the first to decide (unless it's Tony Roma's where I always order the same thing) but always make a snap decision once everyone else is ready to place their orders.

I find this is a woman thing. Men know what they want, some times before they even get to the restaurant.

I usually pick what i want first. I don't really care what i get as long as its not the same thing I have eaten before. I like the surprise and trying different things.

And that's why it's your duty OP to man up and order the food for your sister. Tell the biatch what she's gonna be eating.

I'm pretty picky, but I don't usually take more than a few seconds looking at the menu. If I've been to the restaurant before, I shouldn't need to see the menu.

I take a long time ordering, because I look at all the possible things to eat and narrow it down to what I want. Sometimes menus are way to big.

I take a long time ordering though I'm not a picky eater. It's just that I want to avoid a situation where I end up being all like "aw man, I shoulda ordered ________________ instead of this deep fried beaver tail."

I don't like ordering the same dish as someone else at my table. When i was kid my family used to order different dishes and we would kind of share to fish/chicken/steak etc. Even though i don't share the food now i still don't order the same stuff as someone else.

I'm pretty decision challenged. I look at what everyone else is ordering, read the description, look at the other stuff, and then I decide. Usually by the time the waiter comes I'm good to go. I never order a drink at restaurants.

Takes like 10 seconds to figure out what I want.

So you eat your meal without a drink? That's weird.

I'm very indecisive about most things, but I always make up my mind by the time the waiter gets to asking me what I want.

Maybe if it's a restaurant I've never been to, but if I have a general idea of what the place is like, then I'm fine. I only eat, like, two or three things, anyway.

No, I usually always get the same thing at every restaurant, some may say that's an uninteresting way to spice things up (I know no one that has said it, but still), I already know what I want when going into restaurants. The only difference is if I want a soda or not, but they'll always ask about that before the meal, so that doesn't really matter.

I don't have a problem ordering certain meals in restaurants. More often than not I just stick to ones I'm most familiar with/like most and don't ever really change. Also I don't like sharing because it's my meal damn it, if you wanted to eat the same thing, order it!

I'm indecisive as a rule, but not when it comes to food. I so easy to please when it comes to food that I usually just pick something within the first few seconds of being at a table because I know that there is a pretty significant chance I'll like it. Unless it has capers in it. Ugh.

Lawd, my wife can take forever, to the point of it just being awkward. I try to make her look at the website menu before we go, but of course not every restaurant has one.

In my experience, this phenomenon seems to occur exclusively in females. As a male, I find it baffling.

Personally, I mentally eliminate all unacceptable choices and am able to narrow down what I want to a maximum of three items. The only time I ever need more than a couple minutes is if the menu is massive but that's on the restaurant at that point.

This is why she belongs in the kitchen making the food, not out ordering it.

I don't take long at all. If I ever can't find exactly what I want, I just go to my 'go to' foods. Like a burger, or ribs or something

First to the MRE box, last to actually grab a meal from it.

Yep, I'm too picky for my own good.

As crazy as it sounds, I usually get so excited if it's a place I've wanted to try for awhile, I check out the menu online in advance. So I usually know what I want before I even get there.

I'm not picky... if i'm paying it's going to be cheap and if someone else is it's going to be the most expensive thing I see.

I don't think I take way too long to order but I still usually check the menu online and decide what I want before I get there so I don't feel pressured when it's time to order. Even for fast food sometimes. :p

No. I usually have an idea what I want already. While I will try anything (well, almost anything) at least once I'm very picky about what I eat so I'm pretty predictable about what I'll order anyway.

I uselessly waver between "salad or hamburger, salad or hamburger" and I let myself wallow in this purgatory of what I should eat vs what I want to eat until my waiter shows up, then I just blurt out whatever side is winning in my mind at that exact moment. Usually its hamburger, but at least a few times I go for salad (and wish I'd chosen hamburger),

It depends, if they have a lot of things I like, then I take my sweet ass time. When I got to Portillo's I have to think about my decision before we get to the restraunt, because everything there was handcrafted by the food God's and tastes of pure ecstasy.
