I love the feel of carpeted floors. I bet they are harder to clean though.

You have to be insane to vote for anything other than carpet. Hardwood freezes your damn feet.

It depends on the location. Both have their place.

Hardwood, preferably of a dark color. If it's light then it looks tacky as fuck.

Wood, easy to clean and better looking.

Wood, carpets suck and require far to much vacuuming.

Hard wood. Smooth finish.

No option for none. 

Carpet tends to hide dirt better but can also hide mold and allergens
Hardwoods look awsome but create a hollow feeling in the room.  They are also harder to take care of and maintain.
 
I prefer hardwood  with maybe an area rug in the living spaces.

Hardwood is classy.

I dont understand why hardwood is popular.. I mean, honestly? Don't you like to roll around in the soft fluffy fiber-ness of carpet? Come on kids, you don't know what you're missing. Aside from the 6 hours of deep cleaning every three months.
