This post has an unprecedented amount of meta and strawmen. I'm actually kind of impressed. I'll also admit I have no idea what the fuck you're getting at. Please try to write a succinct paragraph without interjecting a parenthetical full of introspection and self-deprocation at the end of every sentence.

Just because our culture may encourage and even reward such behavior, it doesn't make it the best way for someone to choose to act. If society's approval and support is so important to you, you're on a path toward being just another cog in the machine.

Funny thing, is that, it's wrong to say how awesome you, while the herd it's dying to follow you on the other side. It's mutual attraction to anything that's awesome than them, but they don't like to hear it from you. It's absolutely alright to say how fucked up you are mentally, because it's more alright for them to make fun of you then. It's an ironical paradox but it looks like a mine of hypocrisy. If you are too proud of yourself, you are called a stubborn and pain in the ass for being too wild to follow the same path as everyone else, which it's so freakin' amazing to be emotionally independent, unchained from all the useless shit in this world. It's a difference between lying with the things you don't own and show off, and being proud of yourself for being different and an outcast. I don't fit in any community and the air it's much better outside the society. I chose the first answer, because nowadays, mothers tell to their children that they are special and they are going to do wonderful things in this world, like : advanced skills in Photoshop and uploads on Facebook faster than light.

I dunno if I'd go as far as to call it narcissism but I'd definitely say every generation in the western world is raised with an unwarranted sense of entitlement.

I've found that most people who claim to be narcissistic are generally not. They just use it as some form of blanket statement for how they're feeling a bit selfish for a moment. Which is orders of magnitude off how an actual narcissist experience the world. As with a lot of personality disorders, most people generally don't self-reflect until enough people question their behavior and thoughts.

But do our society breed some narcissistic behaviors? Sure. But that's just because we're all a little bit selfish and our modern societies tend to also teach us a weird level of entitlement.

I've met few actual narcissists though.

All I was thinking was "Oh, one of these again."

I believe our society tends towards narcism. Our entire economic system is based on the ideal that humans work best when thinking of themselves, which is the basis of Adam Smith's classical work.

Maybe..... Include Malevolence but maybe that's our own individual faults as humans.

Yeah, I think so. Everyone deserves the best and no one can put you down, is a message that seems to be sent to this generation. I don't think websites like Facebook and Twitter help with this at all. Although once I saw that "maybe" picture, I thought about changing my mind to that.
