Does the GB logo need a redesign?

I've had thoughts about the logo as well. It's fine the way it is, but it could be cooler.

I don't think it needs one, but I wouldn't mind them streamlining it a bit and maybe making a logo with only the bomb.

@Xeiphyer: The THQ redesign is nice, classy, and minimalist. Things that I particularly enjoy in a logo.

But back to the main subject, are people's attention spans so short that they need to have a new logo flashing at them in the span of about 3 years? Maybe when GB gets to 8-10 years, but redesigning a logo is silly, especially for websites. I haven't seen many sites change their logos...at all really.

It hasn't been that long, and definitely not, because redesigns are always worse than the original.

I always did think it was a little tacky, but I can't think of anything better. I'd like to get our top men on it and see what they come up with- they've never disappointed me in the past.

I think they should go all Colbert's portrait on it and just put up a new one every day/week/month or something. Enough talented people on this site to make sure we never run out of awesome logo variations.

Yes, the logo is a piece of crap and it should be changed. I am not particularly fond of it and I don't mind the community pitching in for fun.
