Gotta say,Rock Band and Katamari are entirely different beasts when drunk....but an FPS?Just doesn't feel quite right.The more bizarre the experience the better,says my friend Saucy Jack.
Not really sure since whenever I'm drinking I'm either in a pub or up a tree. I think I have tried playing a few games when pissed but I can't place my finger on which ones.
@Boywonder03: A friend and I have tested this theory many times. We call it the two beer zenith. And it is exactly what it sounds like. We aren't sure as to why exactly it works. But if you have to beers while doing ANYTHING in life. Your skill will increase greatly. Video games, bowling, darts, pool, soccer, sex, running, absolutely anything.
Seriously try it. For some people it seems the zenith can last a few beers before your skill will start to noticeably decline due to decreased motor skills. But it always is at its peak at 2.
After getting home from partying and your still wide awake but have nothing to do, a great thing to kill time before you crash is load up PlayStation Home and play some poker in the EA room.
i like to get drunk on almost a nightly basis but oddly enough i dont play games that often while drunk. i usually start off really good but once i start feeling buzzed its all down hill from there. whether its NBA 2k10 or MW2 online i turn aweful! i'll try tonight though and see if i have any better luck.
There is definitely a sweet spot where drinking makes you slightly better at games but it is pretty low, passes pretty quickly and leads to you dying a lot once you pass it.
Drinking and playing Don't Fear The Reaper went rather well (got around 96% if I remember correctly) but playing any other song just didn't work for me.
I've also played TF2 while drunk on about 12 white russians, I sucked, but I had massive fun on the mic with the guys on the server. That has to be my favorite part of TF2 the talking when someone kills you or when you snipe someone from behind. :D
i use to think i played gears of war 2 better when drinking but the past few times i have done that have not been so great. I actually had a match with zero points so i would say that i don't do better.
Playing Forza 3 drunk is crazy hard. Talking about getting some serious Road Rage playing that. I normally average hitting about 200 walls in a lap. (Guess that's why you are not suppose to drink&drive)
I can still play well after a beer but after two or anything stronger than there is a noticeable drop. I can play while high though. The first time I play I might not be used to it yet, but after that everything starts clicking and I'm significantly better when high and I don't get as stressed/pissed about losing.
I'm a rapid drinker so have a window that last about 20 minutes max. Free for All I went 30 - 6 on Highrise earlier, then 24 - 18 on Karachi then something else where I came 2nd, oh fucking quarry or whatever it's called. All of this was with an ACR + Silencer and I'm sheyahhttt at COD, this was after 6 to 8 cans of Stella, and now I've had more but know it was time to bail out.
Lately I start playing some Borderlands then hit up some online and training mode matches in Super Street Fighter 4. Every now and then I drink a few beers. When I start to lose 10 in a row (ranked) in SSF4, I call it a night
I quit drinking, but when there was a game night with my friends playing Halo 2 with our XBoxes connected... oh boy, we drunk heavily! It was fun though, but gradually (suprise!) we had difficulty shooting straight. At one point i was even second best in Slayer mode. I totally sucked at Halo 2 multi player, but the others were so drunk that i actually managed to be second in one particular match. (out of 10 players) Again, it was fun, but no more drinking for me.
