This marks like what, four or five videogames movie announcements in three weeks. Mortal Kombat 3, Resident Evil 4, World of Warcraft and now Castlevania. From the director of Saw no less. Oh boy...

lol I thought the mortal combat franchise was dead... oh well and why would you make a castlevania movie? How stupid do you have to be? At least though the Saw guys will be making it, plenty of gore.

I could dig a well made Castlevania movie...of course, I've said that same thing about many other game movies and been horribly dissapointed. 

Well, at least Ryan can still keep TANG going on for longer. However, that's the only good thing that's going to come out of this video-game-into-movies thing. Hollywood's running out of ideas...and good writers.

They're bringing Castlevania? Aren't the names Belmont and Dracula in the public domain now?

This is only slightly less "why pay for IP rights for what amounts to nothing?" than Asteroids

This is bad news for Castlevania fans. I'm actually kinda looking forward to Mortal Kombat: Devastation because it reunites the cats from the first one and it's going to be a real sequel, ignoring the events of the second.

That doesn't actually sound like it would be that bad. But that doesn't stop Hollywood from making it so.

Why make a movie based on a game anyway? Do they really have that little creativity on their own that they actually have to resort to already made up stories from another medium?

man not castlevania. God if (when) they fuck this one up, i may commit ritualistic suicide. 

dracula is still a threat, and only a man with a whip can take him down once and for... until the next game comes out.

OMG. Castlevania as a movie? It's a good game but I can name all kinds of Castlevania movies. Underworld, From Dusk till Dawn, Ann Rice movies, or anything else that has to do with Dracula.

Castlevania was announced a LOOOOOONG time ago.  It was, however, considered cancelled since Paul W.S. Anderson, the mastermind behind Resident Evil and its sequels, was no longer going to direct.  Now, however, it looks like he's just going to produce it...while another horrible director is going to commit it to film.

Castlevania, that could be good. I'm still baffled at the idea of a Bioshock movie, that would just not work.

As long as they don't take it way too seriously and just make it fun, this could be enjoyable. The poster looks neat, at the very least.

o great, not another movie based on a video game. i wish they would stop making movies on video games. it makes the movie horrible to have. i wish they would just change the name of the movie and keep the story line that way it would be something different.

Well, look at the bright side: with all these videogame movies at least ONE must be good. Or at least tolerable.
