Hi, So I'm a sophomore in high school and I start school tomorrow therefore I am bringing a problem I have had ever since 8th grade to you, the Giant Bomb Community. You see I will be sitting in like 3rd period just minding my own business when I look down and see a ring of sweat around my armpits. Disgusting I know but, I don't feel too warm or anything and i'm not nervous at all but why the hell am I sweating? As you can guess I don't feel like myself for the rest of the day and remain quite because of it. I really need help any advice would be great.
Duders I have a Problem,
Arr, I'd say antiperspirants. Not to be confused with deodorant. I'd also advise not wearing grey, it'll show the sweat a lot more - black is a nice colour for hiding things ;) Good luck my friend!
Other than that, not much else you can do. Maybe a doctor could help out, or perhaps your parents have something to help.
Go to the store and invest in one of those fancy "clinical strength" deodorants. You know, the ones that come in those fancy boxes.
Certain Dri roll-on antiperspirant. Put it on at night before you go to bed. Trust me, this shit is the bee's knees.
Also, I'm not sure about your whole sweat thing but I have a Coolermaster fan in my computer that works great, maybe get one of those and glue it to your armpit?
Have you tried using more skill?
Of course I mean the deodorant skill.
1) do not wear antiperspirant, unless you like lymph node infections.
1a) DO wear deodorant
2) Do wear a couple of layers of shirts if you want to hide the sweat: a t-shirt and then a baggy button up shirt or a loose long sleeve t or a light hoodie or something.
2a) ALWAYS COTTON. Synthetic will start to stink like nothing else
3) Lose weight and improve your cardio function. Your body will get better at dissipating heat without sweating.
4) Don't sweat it. Some people sweat more than others.

how many times should I flag before the mods actually do something about the shit I flagged?
Well, for one thing, the thread has to deserve the flag, and seeing as how this is the Off-Topic section, good luck with that. Second, you should probably read the rules you so worship a little more closely, and not propagate a thread you deem lock-worthy by posting in it.
Cheerio, kind chap.
Edit: Forgot to stay on topic. I recommend checking out those "Premature Perspiration" commercials. I see them all the time, but for the life of me cannot remember the product they're selling at the moment.
Is it the feeling of the sweaty shirt or the thought that people can see the sweat that keeps you from feeling like yourself? If it's the latter then layer up with a thin shirt under a somewhat baggy/loose shirt. Make sure the under shirt is thin though because if you get too thick with your layers you'll just sweat more. If it's the feeling of it then that's harder to fix. Exercising regularly and being in shape can help sweating in general.
Either way you should talk to a doctor to see what he/she recommends if it's something to do with you specifically that's causing you to sweat more. Coming to the brilliant medical minds at giant bomb probably isn't going to help much in that regard.
Get someone to lick the sweat when you feel it dripping from your pits, that way it won't stain your clothing...
one option would be to get healthy
although not knowing your current health i can't say if that's your problem
or alternatively you could cake yourself in old spice and be a man and not give a shit about what people think of you
I've been using Mitchum for two months and it's working just fine. My armpits used to sweat like crazy. I no longer use scented deodorant because it stinks whenever I swear even a little bit.
http://www.mitchum.com/Products.aspx?ref=map Get the Smart Solid Clinical Strength. Wait for it to dry before you put on your shirt.
Certain Dri works the best, it comes in a white and green box and is found in most drug stores. I was in your situation and used it all through college.
Then you can collect it in a handy pouch and save it for later.Wear Under Armour shirts all the time. Those things make sweat slide right off.
It seems like everyone is missing the obvious answer... amputation. No arms, no arm pits. Seems pretty simple to me.
In all seriousness though, I don't know what the name of it/them is, but there is/are medical conditions that can cause excessive sweating. If you really don't feel anxious or overheated when it happens then it may well be something you should ask a doctor about. Lord knows getting through HS is hard enough without having to deal with something like that...
