When is it not a bad idea? Obviously I know 99% of the time it is not a good idea to drink on the the job. But when is the 1% of the time its a good idea?
For me, its friday, on payday.
Getting drunk at work
When it's one of your colleague's last days working with you. I don't mean getting drunk, but I went out for lunch with a few workers who were leaving the bank I worked in and got a pint or two in before heading back for the last 3 or 4 hours of work. Just don't make it a regular or noticeable thing.
Mad Men has inspired me to bring back the three martini lunch. Unfortunately I can't afford martinis. But when I can...
It's OK to get drunk on the job when you work for Whiskey Media and you have a freakin' bar just 20 feet from your desk.
Just be careful when you're drunk at work, guys. It's super easy to spot someone who's had a few before work. I come from an office environment, so in some other lines of work, I can see you getting away with it, but at an office, where everything is all prim and proper and professional, a buzzed face is an easy catch.
Also know that if someone knew you were drunk on the job, you'd never know and they'd never tell you.
maybe when you are a bartender. people buying you drinks.
when the boss is not there. last year when i worked we would sometimes sneak a drink. the place is in downtown city so there are bars and clubs there. we would drink during lunch break. sometimes the manager would come with us to lunch and drink. another time the guy bought some small shot type of drinks. i was buzzed.
i work in another department now. in another department there is another guy who gets drunk. the other day the boss called him to do something. he didn't understand what he was talking bout. it was funny hearing him yell into the phone get the cart. the cart.
" When is it not a bad idea? Obviously I know 99% of the time it is not a good idea to drink on the the job. But when is the 1% of the time its a good idea? For me, its friday, on payday. "Thats 20% of the time. But in all seriousness, you should always be drunk. It's classy.
When your boss leaves for the day and your co-worker hands you a beer from the mini-fridge. Standard procedure, people. Didn't you read the terms & agreement?
