I went to the Spiderman 3 opening at the Imax, and I can tell you that as soon as emo Peter Parker showed up, nobody was applauding or cheering at all. And when he did his terrible little dance number, the entire audience was audibly confused. Shouting "What the fuck is going on?". That movie was aggressively cheesy.

That movie is one of my favorite midnight movie experiences because, halfway through, it actually turned into a cult midnight movie experience. Everyone was confused, angry, and laughing together. It was awful, and we all fucking reveled in it. A few people where horribly upset though.

I'm seeing it in IMAX so I won't see DKR until 2am that Friday. Hopefully I'm still awake and the subway doesn't suck too much after.

It's just one of the only times I can remember actually being embarrassed by what was on the screen, and kind of embarrassed for Sam Raimi and everyone involved while they were shooting that dance number. I mean, they couldn't have possibly thought that was a good idea. I know Sam Raimi films can get cheesy, and I thought the cheesiness of the first two Spider-man movies kind of ruined them for me a little bit. But damn, I was not prepared for emo Spider-man. I remember being in the Imax and turning to my friend, and he looked at me and mouthed the words "What the fuck?" with a very confused look on his face.

I work the night it comes out, and there would probably be too many people for my taste anyway. Maybe the day after, definitely the next week.

I would also go see it in IMAX, but the closest one is too far just for a movie.

no, i don't think so. i don't like going to theaters with a bunch of people.

i saw avatar like 2 weeks after it came out and there were still a lot of people there. i have a feeling that the dark knight rises is going to be just like that.

Hopefully this weekend. Really loved doing it with a big crowd for Avengers.

going to the midnight release. Have tickets already bought and I'm pretty excited for it. Starts at around 6:40 and they show the first 2 movies before the third one.

Probably gonna try to get in to the midnight showing, yeah. Will head out to my theater at 10:30 or 11 and if it isn't retardedly packed with people, I'll stay for it. It shouldn't be packed, though, as I live in a relatively small town.

We're not getting a midnight release in the UK because America's going to be getting the midnight showing - however, we are getting a 5am showing in Birmingham.

Screw that. Me and my boyfriend are going to a showing at 9.30am though...
