The fact that they use the word pwnage makes this entirely less approachable because you know they -tried- to make it approachable. And yeah, it's an immature saying that can never be said in a serious manner. If you say it seriously, hopefully it's for good reason. 
 
M rated Battlefield? That could only mean the single player has alot of cursing in it. Or at least some cursing. Maybe more blood? A sex scene where both sides use tickets? I dunno. It's not like it's a major leap for the Battlefield series to go M.

They are catering to a certain audience, who sadly will think that's awesome.
