he was also unimpressed by super metroid, which... UUUUUUUGH.
Jeff just crossed the line. I can no longer tolerate this.
Jeff has to hate things that people love in order to bring equilibrium to the universe, otherwise the very fabric of existence would tear itself apart. So really, he is doing all of us a great service by being such a huge fucking hater. He is basically the new Jesus Christ.
whats a macklemore
e: damn you @viking_funeral
I've never really listened to DMB but what is the root of peoples dislike?
You can say you don't like it or whatever but there seems to be a lot of vitriol in these comments, it's comparable to when people talk about dubstep.
A lot of their material is stuff you'd hear on one of those "adult contemporary" radio stations. They sorta have a reputation as a cheesy, old people band. Reputation be damned though; they have some great tunes and their live shows are some of the best.
Makes me wonder what he's basing this off of. Maybe his tweet is meant to be taken in the light that Macklemore is using his music to put out meaningful messages (granted he does have song here and there that are just for fun, as even any serious artist does).
Just to reiterate, KIDDING. I disagree with most of what Jeff says, but I ultimately don't give a shit. Christ, I was thinking the blisteringly hyperbolic text would've made this clear enough.
The only time I was just straight offended by the opinion of a GB crew member was during the PAX East 2012 panel where Patrick and Alex were talking about Aliens, and Alex said that Patrick liked Alien more than Aliens because he's an "intelligent human being".
Come the fuck on, dude. That's just mean.
I'm not a huge DMB fan but I always assumed Jeff just doesn't like instruments. The less instruments a music group or artist uses the more likely he is to like it. Maybe studying classical music as a kid or failing to keep up with his guitar lessons scarred him for life. Sure he can dabble on keyboard but that's more like a music making machine and we all know where he stands on the cybernetic destiny of mankind. Personally I'm not interested in a future without tone color in my music.
He's right about Red Dead. It's way to long and except for a few good set pieces incredibly boring, but hey to each there own right?
how come giantbomb never reviewed red dead? do i just suck at navigating? this is a surprising discovery...
