So I decided to watch Eastern Promises tonight, great movie if you haven't seen it, and as it was starting up a HDDVD ad played. I found it pretty funny thought some of the Bomb community might enjoy that too. I never really thought about it, but there are probably hundreds of DVDs floating around out there with pointless HDDVD ads on them.

Honestly I was rooting for DDL, I'm a pretty Paul Thomas Anderson(director of There Will Be Blood) fan though. I did really enjoy Michael Clayton as well. @me3639: I own it too, I love both those movies. If it wasn't clear I've seen this movie before, I was just in the mood to watch it again.
i've never seen that movie but a couple of times of watching old movies that are on DVD there are some ads that say now on DVD and VHS. i laugh at that because VHS died like 6 years when the movie came out.

Hahah... maybe I'll go and watch some older DVDs and see if I can find some ads like that.

I've never seen They Live, but I do love the fight scene in this movie(the one we're obviously talking about).
And that's pretty lolz regarding the HDDVD ads. You're probably right too, there probably are many dvds around with promoting HDDVDs that don't exist anymore :-p
