Karl Malden dead!?!

Noooooooooooooooooooo!!!! This can't be!! One of my all time favorite and most influential actors passes away! :( But he was 97 so I guess it doesn't come as much of a surprise. Ed Mahon, Farrah fawcett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, and now Karl Malden..Good lord the stars are falling! Sleep tight sweet prince. You will be missed. R.I.P

Well when your 97 years old it doesn't sting as much I guess. RIP though.

A great character actor. Streets of San Francisco plays on my local station here during the day, so I became somewhat familiar with him recently.

What movies was he famous for?

What?! No! I loved him in Baby Doll. I loved him in a Street Car Named Desire and on the Waterfront as well. Ugh... why do the good ones have to die?

He gained some fame in the 70s or 80s (I'm not too sure when) as a spokesman for American Express.  I was a fan of his TV show with Michael Douglas, the Streets of San Francisco.  The theme to that detective drama is a running gag song for every car chase sequence on the Simpsons.

it's sad to hear another celeb dieing. i have to say that he is pretty old so it isn't as bad as the other celebs like micheal jackson, billy mays.

Dude was 97, let's be honest he had it coming. Sorry to have to disappoint some of you but celebs are NOT immortal, no matter what highlander has to say, don't believe him.
