Been watching some wrestling documentaries on Netflix. So far I've watched the CM Punk and Steve Austin ones and they've been great. Any others I should look for? I know there's a Rock one on Netflix that I definitely need to watch and an Undertaker one but surely there aren't only four documentaries about wrestlers in the whole world?

Also, there are some conflicting reports about what happened on Smackdown:

- Another report says that AJ was simply running away from Kaitlyn in the backstage segment and was the one involved in the interactions with the Bellas and Big E.

- Fandango apparently used his top rope leg drop to win and not a Macho Man Elbow Drop.

TNA is cutting costs and has released Crimson, Christian York, Taeler Hendrix, Joey Ryan and Madison Rayne.

It's a shame that Joey Ryan didn't work out in TNA, it's a gimmick that I always think is fun to watch.

Crimson was a failed project, Christian York is meh, Madison Rayne was good, no clue who Taeler Hendrix is.

Taz just announced that he re-signed with TNA. I guess that his "accidental" tweet about returning to WWE was to get some leverage in his contract negotiations with TNA.

So it's somewhat official... my friend and I could be starting up our own podcast. It's an idea that's been floating around my head for a while because I really do feel that having a podcast where everyone in the same room is always going to be much more natural than having one over skype. I might also be given the luxury (questionable usage of the word) of free time due to my final class not being available to me until next fall because I need to get my GPA up before I take it, so I might take another stab at a website deal.

For videos, I want it to kind of be shot in the style of how RedLetterMedia (those guys who did those star wars reviews) do all of their video content...

I dunno, I'm just throwing stuff against the wall and seeing what sticks

Jay Briscoe got stripped of the belt and now ROH are running a tournament for the belt that will end at Death Before Dishonor. Looks like we could possibly see the Briscoes on RAW one day.

Controversial opinion time:

Jay Briscoe can go fuck himself after that "I'll shoot anyone who tells my kids it's okay to be gay" thing. If he was playing the heel I'd assume it was in-character, but for a face to come out with that shit makes it pretty clear what his true feelings are. I hate the fact that he seems to be mostly forgiven for it.

@turboman: Sounds like a solid plan, I feel that Red Letter Media's videos are formatted very well so that is a great template to follow. It seems like it would take a lot of time to produce that many videos, though obviously I don't know the extent of your resources or your plans for how frequently they are released. The wrestling wiki would be awesome, but you'd need to find an engineer who really knows what he's doing to get that up and running.

@turboman: Been out of the loop for a couple of days on a road trip. As always I offer my artsy abilities wherever they are needed.

Kidd and Natty being a married couple is now part of the WWE fiction. This just makes her (now hopefully over, and never brought up again) relationship with Khali even weirder.

@gunslingerpanda: Yep, agreed. I'm still not convinced that WWE will touch them whether they're leaving ROH or not and I can't blame them. While they're still good, the Briscoes' best days are behind them anyway.

I don't know if anyone watched Impact last night but the main event was fantastic. If you didn't get to watch it, I urge you to find it.

@gunslingerpanda: I like the fact that he has seemed to be forgiven. First of all because I've heard so much worse come out of people's mouths and those people have not gotten the flack Briscoe has. Second because it has become the norm in our society to be easily offended by everything and if you say one thing that was dumb everyone will call for you to be fired. What he said was wrong and he stated a public apology that came off as sincere (watch it if you haven't you might not hate him as much after). At the end of the day what he said was dumb, but I'm sure everyone on this thread including you has said some dumb shit that everyone would like to take back but thankfully we're not in the public eye.

Jay Briscoe is one of the best talents not signed by the WWE and they would be fools not to sign him and his brother.

So after constantly being told to watch the Kurt Angle masterpiece known as End Game, I finally gave it a shot. I... can't recommend doing the same. It's bad. Really bad. No, seriously, it's the worst thing I've seen in years and basically every porn I've ever seen has had better acting. Jenna Morasca is the best actor in that movie. As in this Jenna Morasca...

Fortunately it isn't completely without merits! Hilarious, awful merits. My person favourite moment is where Kurt dresses up as a clown and proceeds to punch a woman in the face. No, I didn't make that up in some horrible fever dream. Look at this.

Now that I've shared that wonderful piece of cinema with you let me warn you again. Do not watch this movie. Ever. Don't let some morbid curiosity overtake you like it did me, you will just end up curling up in the fetal position crying to yourself, laughing hysterically once or twice throughout like a crazy person.

...or if you do, we need to get another wrasslin thread movie night. Misery loves company.

It's easy to forget how big Hogan is until you see him next to average sized people. They all look tiny. And one of them is in spiderman pj's

I don't think I've ever mentioned it to you before, but stuff out there like BarberShopWindows tee's are absolute trash in terms of quality compared to what I think you could do. And I've always thought that your Daniel Bryan translation pic would go great on a tee. So maybe I could ask you to design a logo and such, but I also think you should open up a store and sell some of that stuff out.. maybe have that kind of store on the site? (plus, looking around on your site, this Nicolas Cage Bees art would make an awesome tee as well.)

I've been thinking of coming up with things like GiantBomb.com, which is related to gaming but is a cool name on it's own right. ElbowDrop.com was my first thought, but I have to shell out an insane amount of money to pick it up :(.

@turboman: The only thing's I can seem to come up with are all rather too specific, like BAHGAWDSTUNNAH.com, or OneMoreMatch.com. I also suspect PipeBomb.com is either already taken, or likely to get you placed on a bunch of watch lists.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Starting this week, Wednesday Night Wrasslin will make its long awaited return to Giant Bomb at 8 PM EDT as a five week summer series.

@rabid619 Never start with the hard stuff first; you should watch WWE Studios films like The Marine 3 and 12 Rounds 2 and work your way up to stuff like End Game.

@drx25: Just a heads up, that's at the same time as the return of Spooking With Scoops. Though, to be fair, WNW did come first.

@demoskinos: The silver lining with the death of Synchtube is that they put out the source code and there are a bunch of clones that have shown up after it's death, including one that's run by /wooo/.

@turboman Sure, especially since Spookin' with Scoops is going to run at the same time as WNW, It'd probably run it after Impact (which doesn't seem that bad). So, unless there are objections, WNW will make its return this Thursday at 11 PM EDT.

@turboman: I think it was suggest by someone at one point (on a GB podcast/livestream) but I have always loved to call a wrestling website AnacondaVice.com. Considering that actual domain is taken, AnacondaVice.net is a decent name in my view.

I know you're probably not super familiar with TNA, and I wish I didn't know this, but the Suicide character has been around since the TNA game years ago. For some reason its always popular, so they keep bringing it back with a new person every six months or so. The real question should be why would you put him back under the mask after showing his face the week before?

@joshthebear: I kept telling myself "maybe this will suddenly become so dumb it's amazing" but nope, was just bad. You do get to see Kurt Angle wear a bunch of awful disguises so that he can murder people though. Such greats as the Clown, the Fat Cop, and the Grieving Man at Funeral. It's quite... unique.

@k9 Mannnnnnnnn. I guess it still doesn't quite touch Chyna though, though I don't see anyone doing that (and why the fuck would you want to?).

AnacondaVice is a good idea, but I don't want a .net name.

I still kind of like elbow-drop.com , but I think WrestlingLogic.com is just as good...
