My idea of how to properly convey Sarcasm on the internet

As we all know, being a sarcastic asshole is fun, but its very hard to do over the internet because you can't convey tone. Often times this leads to people misinterpreting what you are saying, usually resulting in their belief that your an idiot.

However, I have just had a great breakthrough idea. What if they added backwards italics that could be used for sarcastic sentences? That may seem silly, but it would solve many problems with being a jerk to people that deserve it. I think Giantbomb should be the first website to implement this!

Thoughts? Suggestions? Harsh Sarcastic Criticisms? (that we wouldn't know because they aren't backwards italics)

Because you can't convey tone on the internet, we should follow the Elcor's example, and start every sentence with a description of the tone of the upcoming sentence. It would be brilliant. It would work fine.

I don't think that something as drastic as backwards italics is needed.  If people would simply say at the end of their post that they were being sarcastic, it would go along way towards eliminating confusion.  I've seen a lot of ppl put </sarcasm> at the end of their post, works great.

(I think it's more than capable with normal italics.)
