Pogo is the superior term. I feel that corn dog is too lengthy, and should be stricken from language completely.

Never heard the word 'Pogo' in this context ever - maybe its part of the American vernacular? Internationally, I'm pretty sure we call them Corn Dogs. On the other hand, if I asked the Giant Bomb international audience what a Chicko Roll was, I'm sure nobody would know. Therefore:
American Readers: Pogo is the superior term.
Non-American Readers: Corn Dog is the superior term.
Martians: Screw you and your alien terms!

That being said, corn dog is the correct term.
" Alright boys, you've had your fun. Lets get serious and accept that it's called a pogo? Okay? Crazy Americans. "You Canadians are out numbered.
Corn dog because I've never heard the word "pogo" used like that, and I don't ever want to hear it again. NOT IN MY 'MERICA!
