I suppose I should add if you find your sandwich making to be an art as I do, you try to find the best accompanying flavor and texture for your sandwich. I recently found that pomegranate/blueberry mini-rice cakes went particularly well with chicken salad and a slice of swiss cheese. Let's share recipes!

Plain potato chips. Though, I do not put chips on or in my sandwiches; it's simpler to just alternate between bites of sandwich and a few chips. I see no benefit in mixing them.

So... You all eat potato chips on sandwiches? That is disgusting, along with the rest of the choices on this list.

@Hamst3r: I guess it's mostly a texture thing, I've always been this way.

I never put toppings on my sandwiches but I guess if I did I'd go with tortilla chips.

I actually put chips on my burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches. There is nothing better than a hot dog with Cheese, Mayo, Ketchup and Sour Cream n' Bacon chips.

Umm...maybe I am too much of a traditionalist, but what about lettuce?  Fresh lettuce can be crunchy and I personally don't find it as disgusting as putting Cheetos on a sandwich.  A good "stacker" dill pickle slice is great, too.  Raw onions are nice, but can give you stinky breath, so that topping should only be added under specific conditions.

A long time ago, there was a website called Daily Radar. It was a website, about video games. They posted a recipe once that called for a hamburger bun, a can of Spaghetti-Os and a small bag of Lay's potato chips. You were supposed to cook the Spaghetti-Os and put them on the bun (kinda like a sloppy joe.) Then, you were supposed to pound the bag of potato chips until they were all broken into considerably smaller fragments. THEN, you place the potato chip fragments on the Spaghetti-O "burger" and eat it. It always sounded really tasty, but I still haven't tried it.

Also, I have never put any of those things on any sandwich I have ever made. Too much hassle.

Plain potato chips, followed by BBQ potato chips, then tortilla chips, then cheese balls. In that order.

Never tried Fritos or those Sunchips on a sandwich but I imagine they'd be pretty good.

All I put on a sandwich is meat, cheese, lettuce, and maybe a little mayo.

@Computerplayer1: Like the McGangBang? I do that shit too!

@Hourai: That's exactly what I put in my sandwiches as well. But if there are chips to be had, I'll throw some on there as well.

Fritos, Sunchips, or banana peppers.  Any of three will do.
