That would be closer to Libertarian Socialism if anything.

No, those nihilistic values are quintessentially anarchistic.

Still not as good as Van Halen's. David Lee Roth had a stage collapse on him once, and ever since then, every rider has been ridiculously long, and hidden amoung the text was the phrase A bowl of M&Ms need to be backstage, with all of the brown ones removed. If they found brown M&Ms, they refused to do the show. This showd them that they really read the contract, and everything was going to go down OK.

I am not insinuating that they want to further an agenda of anarchy. I am saying that it's dead wrong for someone to suggest that there are no similarities between revolution against the government and revolution against a capitalist economy, which is essentially the life's blood of a Democratic society/government. To rage against one, inextricably damages the other.

If nihilism is the "total rejection of established laws and institutions" and anarchy is a "state of society without government or laws," how are they unrelated?

If that's what nihilism actually was, you'd be sooo right.

I'm using the dictionary definition. If I am incorrect, I'd like to know why.

Edit: The sarcasm isn't necessary.

I was using the philosophical definition. Which is what I assumed everyone used, my bad. I didn't know there were eight definitions.

The dictionary definition of nihilism is the "total rejection of established laws and institutions." Why is this incorrect? I'm asking you honestly, and your sarcasm is (once again) not necessary.

The philosophical definition of nihilism should be primarily the argument that existence is without purpose or meaning.

Nihilism is the philosophical belief that existence has no meaning. Pioneered by Nietszche (sp?). So that definition is a bit specific. Still people in Russia did use nihilism as a justification of anarchy during the russian revolution.

Strange that the dictionary would use a definition that's applicable for anarchy, if the two are not synonymous.

Let's not get too concerned with semantics folks. If someone makes a semantic error, correct them without being (too) critical, and move on.

No, no. I provoked it. I'm not opposed to semantics-based arguments, I both started and perpetuated this one. My bad.

Well my bad on that one. I can see where you were coming from with that definition.
