The Getaway - 7/10. It was hyped, but it had its problems. Still, worth a playthrough. Die Hard Trilogy for the PlayStation (not the Saturn or PC versions):
Rate the game above you
For the on-rails Die Hard 2 part... from my little kid gamer's perspective... 10/10. I loved it for some reason.
9/10. Beautiful game, only shortcomings are the length, overall depth, and variety. Also - greatest soundtrack in the entertainment industry.
Un-rateable as the game seems like it's still in pre-alpha (sigh, this was meant for Big Rigs, but looks like slyspider edited his post o:)
Also, no one rated Grim Fandango, so I'll give it a 8/10; great story, but some serious gameplay issues.
EDIT: Metroid Prime 1 was very awesome when I first played, another great 3d blend from the Nintendo corner.
Loved the exploration and scanning.
I'm rating Crash Bash based upon appeal since I never played the game. From the videos I've watched of it, and since I do like Crash Bandicoot, I think that 3/5 is a good score for it. I like how the gameplay is like the mini-game "Bumper Balls" and "Bombs Away" in Mario Party 2. (First two games in the video.)
*Edit: Decided to change the game.
What is that? Fucking babies on a cover of a game. What is this? Trying to sell me on a piece of interactive software with frolicking ass babies on a cover. Is this even a party? Children don't have parties, they sleep and grow. This ain't the proper activity for humans of that age. If this is a party then that's the real joke here. Only two of them are wearing party hats, girl in the back is wearing a tiara like she's hot shit. She isn't. Kid in the middle holding some maracas ass maracas. Those might as well be guns, put a gun to my head if you want me to spend my time on this baby party simulation. Ubisoft keeps sending me mixed singles, they want me to run around the house laser tagging all my furniture like I can afford replacements, then they're asking me to relax, put a thing on my finger and breathe slowly and shit, now they're trying to stress me out with standing babies. You're telling me all these babies can walk? You're just gonna sit there and make those claims? Kid on the left isn't even walking, dude is straight marching all over the box like he owns it, you're sharing the space with three other people little man, have some respect. Oh wait, you can't because you're a tiny baby and have yet to develop an understanding for social protocols so that you can figure out what you can and cannot do in a social situation like a baby party.
8/10 for walking babies
9/10 for Japan game.
The cover's pretty cool, but every time I try to play it my computer freezes. 5/10 for no particular reason I suppose.
Ya, I do want to play it (and I'm reserving the bioshock judgements until I do as from the outside I dont see the comparison), hope I did not give the wrong impression. 3/5 is not bad, to me anyway it just means good not great but definitely worth playing once for the experience. I dont know, though, just a guess of course.
I am interested in playing it =)
4/5 Grim Fandango is an instant classic. Definitely worth a play through if you're into adventure games. Not a 5 to me only because there just one game out there I'd give a 5. And it's not the following...
Been folowing spoony?
3/5 - Classic game, but its hard as hell and also irritating to play.
For the Penumbra Part 2 I give that 4/5, must play for any adventure fans. I would say must play for anyone but if you dont like the genre you probably wont be able to get into it.
Hopefully this is not to old or obscure =P
7/10 Had some improvements over the original including better story telling and stronger voice acting.
