Rumor: Apple to release smaller Ipad and new iphone.

Hello duders, just wanted to talk about the recent rumors coming from ilounge.com. Apparently Apple is going to announce a new Ipad and a new Iphone this September. 
 
Details on the new Ipad include: 

• Ipad with a 7 inch screen
• Likely to be released in Early 2011

• Probably going to be the 5th generation Iphone
• Fixed antenna
• Also possibly a Verizon Iphone (i seriously dought this)
• Going to be released early 2011

Neither of these rumors would surprise me if true.  I imagine the smaller iPad would be called the iPad Mini or something similar.  And a fifth generation iPhone just seems like a foregone conclusion.

Apple can barely keep their current iPads in stock... let alone another one already.

I see the only reason for a new iphone early next year is for another provider and maybe a hardware fix and recall program

the verizon rumor never ends, but i hope it finally does this time :) i want one so bad!!!

I think it's too soon to announce anything. I know for sure that Apple won't fix the antenna issue and they won't release an iPhone for Verizon.

Apple can barely hold iPads and iPhones in stock right now (its a two week wait period on both!!) so i dont really picture them releasing or announcing a new one that quickly. They might announce something as soon as some of the hype dies down a little.

Dont need one, dont care.

Another iPhone? :/ I'll stick with my 3GS. I like Apple and I've invested in their products, and that won't change because they've given me products with no issues or hassle. But I do think they need to calm it down with releases.

Wow, I'm sick of all this stuff Apple is putting on to the market. The current Ipad is fine, there is no need for a smaller one as that would just make an ipod touch the better alternative, and a new Iphone already? Well after the whole reception problems, I don't doubt it.
 
I'm not surprised, I'm just sick of Apple's way of business. I know it won't change though.

Wait apple is going to release another version of their hardware one year later that is slightly better? That would never happen. Any money that the ipad mini has the same tech of touch screen they put in the iphone4 (which i hear is better).   Then again when this stuff is announced next year there will be rumours and leaks of the "next" ipad/iphone.

 I just want a tmobile version of the iPhone.  There have been rumors of it being out as early as Q3 2010(which is september).  If they announce it during their september conference I'll be one happy boy.

The iPad was meant to be large, making a smaller version is one of the most retarded things I've ever heard of. Apple is just turning into Microsoft; they'll do anything to get money. It's quite appaling.

Whenever I see "new iPhone" I laugh to maniacally to myself.

Does no one in this topic know how apple does things? Of course there's going to be a new iPhone and iPad. They make a new generation of products every year. You know how like there have been 3 different iPhones in the past 3 years? Though I doubt this next iPad is going to be any smaller. Hopefully lighter, though.

i have an ipod touch i like it. i dont rant and rave about it but it does its job fine. i don't like apple stuff mostly but i think the ipods are fine

The smaller iPad idea is kind of weird. Isn't the current size the whole point of getting a tablet? As opposed to just an iPod touch or a smart phone?
 
I don't think anyone doubts a new iPhone is on the way, though. Just like the 3GS after the 3G, I'm sure some sort of "4S" model is in development.
