  • You will turn on your Nintendo ToiletHumourJoke,  you will pull out the latest Legend of Zelda. The opening clip must be using real people you think, but no, it is that graphically beautiful that the green little homosexual on your screen is flawless. You walk around a beautiful utopia breathing it all in, the most imersive  (That a real word? Firefox says no :S) locations you have ever played.  You ...

That evolved into Pr3pster eventually and yeah, here I am.

In aussieland we don't really get many shows that cater to that. Only really get Attack of the Show (Which is always a laod of shit) and an Aussie show called Good Game, which I'm yet to check out.

Hello. My Name is Synthballs. And I hated the original Modern Warfare.

I don't know what it was about it, but, it just wasn't groovy with me. The whole holding a button to sprint, looking down the sights (sites?) to make the shooting more accurate and that whole shooting through walls thing just freaked me out. It wasn't for a hate of First Person Shooters, I thoroughly enjoyed Battlefield Bad Company so it confused me how I could hate what was basically another generic war game.

One Week Ago I Paid For Modern Warfare 2.

And to be honest, it as for a pretty silly reason.

I wanted to shoot innocent people in a Russian airport. Not for them being Russian but I think it is a pretty big leap forward in gaming and am kinda surprised it hasn't been pulled back off the shelves in Aussieland. I mean, we can have airport massacres but not Mark Eckos Getting Up? That seems a little fucked, but, that's not what this is about. Ever since buying it I've been fucking shocked.

The game is the best multi-player experience I've ever had. Although that isn't saying much, up until a week ago I thought Perfect Dark on the N64 was the greatest FPS known to man. That got chucked out of the window.

I'm pretty amazed as to how enthralling the game is, I started off doing some solo missions with a friend (the whole level for level, life for life. We've all been there) which to be honest, wasn't that exciting. Run around, shoot someone, die. Shoot someone, die. Shoot someone, they finally die. Not too long after starting I had to put down the difficulty as I had a severe case of shitness. so I kept playing, and playing, and playing and then stopped. I wanted to try out the Multi-player on this bitch. I'm surprised I like the game at all considering, My first five or so matches had me put with people with ranks of 30 or higher. Wiping the floor with me. Continuously dying, I persevered knowing I would get better at the game and I did. Eventually. One Game I was doing not bad, was still coming near last but, I hadn't died the usual 20 times and the ego rushed to my head, I started icing fools all around, Headshots flying around everywhere, stealing enemies supplies, setting up turrets that were meant for them, using helicopters that should've been putting me in a grave.  And the kills just kept coming. I was still dying but that was the first time I won a Free for All game and it felt brilliant.

Ever since I've found immense pleasure in the game and a week later (and about 6 hours playing time in MP) I'm a rank 17 and holding myself quite well. I don't know how I ever hated the first one because now this feels how every FPS should be made.

Yeah. I'm off now. That's my rant. Of sorts. I'm sad.

Phil

(Oh yeah, I tried Spec Ops, that thing rapes me. Everytime. On Rookie. On Alpha)

I don't know if it was released this year, but I played it this year anyway.

It is a stinking pile of filthy shit. It controls badly, the inventory system is utter crap and I just don't like it. Like. Seriously.

It just bugs the fuck out of me, I think I just hate all Resident Evils really but, it's the worst game I played this year and I'm pretty sure I picked up Superman 64.

As some people know, I recently purchased two copies of Borderlands from Play-Asia. (See last blog)

I'd just like to inform you that I probably won't be doing so again and am currently viewing "Refund in Progress". if this is anything like them Processing my order I can look for my money in...oh...a week?

I ended up sending an email like I was suggested to do

Customer message from 2009-11-10 20:24:24 HKT

I placed an order and paid on the 5th of November (Australian Time) and ever since all I have seen is the order being Prepared. Talking to others who have used your service they said they have got there package alot earlier and used alot cheaper shipping. The site says Borderlands is in stock but nothing is happening which I am beginning to find a nuisance. So, whats the deal?

I ended up getting a reply saying

Play-Asia.com Customer Support message from 2009-11-11 11:21:15 HKTDear Philip,

Thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.

The first batch of stock has already been shipped out on the release date. We are waiting for another batch of stock. The estimated shipping date for your order is 20 Nov.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards,

Michelle

I sent back an email saying that I was extremely annoyed and that I would rather a refund then having to wait another 10 days for it just to be shipped. Well, without even a return email I was changed from "Processing Order" to "Refund in progress". I know this sounds a little odd considering I wanted the refund but, I half expected an email trying to persuade me to rethink my actions and try to rectify the situation by other means.

The biggest pain in the arse about this is that when I had placed my order they said it was in stock and that I wouldn't have to wait long. Well, that was a pain in the arse experience and I don't think I'd deal with them again unless it was for some form of rarity I couldn't live without. (I love the Dreamcast section *Drool*)

All in all yes, it ended up about 15 dollars cheaper for me but, I could've paid the extra money and gotten it earlier. Instead I'm buying it tomorrow and will hopefully be the happiest man in the world.

Yeah. Out. Gone. Phil!

EDIT: Refund went through quickly. Short about 6 bucks however. Damn.

I totally bought Borderlands. Like. I totally own it. Two copies actually. One for me. One for my mate. It is both tight and sweet.

I technically own it.

I have ordered two copies off Play-Asia and am just waiting for the delivery and I just want to know...How long exactly does it take to process a fucking order?! You have my money. You have my address. You have the address through my PayPal account aswell. Shouldn't it be a simple matter of putting these two games in a box and giving it to FedEx to deliver to me post haste? No. For five days I have seen them processing my order.

I originally thought that I would do it this way cause it would save me thirty dollars off the price of two copies which I think is cool but had I known it would take this long I would have paid the extra to get it immediately, I mean, I'm not mocking Play-Asia here but, I'd just rather pay a little bit more and get it right away.

Anywho. Yeah. Can't wait regardless.

I downloaded Space Invaders Extreme. That game is awesome. I also acquired the Soundtrack (Space Invaders Extreme Audio Cluster) and that is not so awesome, I don't think it resembles the awesome beats I hear in the XBLA version which is a huge let down of sorts.

Thats about it.

School was cancelled today which makes it even better. Yeah.

Gone.

After much proding (Prodding? Off to a fine start here...) and poking I have finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and begin getting aquainted with the Giant Bomb community, I mean, I have one hope here, that Jeff Gerstmann is actually a God and my friend is just not a fanboy waiting to swallow his load and gargle his undying love for him through thick layers of semen. Grosse.

Anywho,

Yeah. I am a pretty big gamer (Well, WAS being the best word but due to working 6/7 days a week I dont have time or energy anymore), mainly focusing on my sisters beautiful giant black box of delight the Playstation 3, only problem is, I cant seem to sit down and play a game anymore these days, nothing can hold my attention. Well nothing but Lego Star Wars anyway...

Seriously, that game is the best co-op experience I have ever experienced, the only downside being is that it has put a serious strain on my and my sisters friendship as for some apparent reason, it is hilarious to wait until a well planned jump to throw some lightning at your partner and watch them fall. Always a good time filled with an abundance of swearing. I'm extremely happy with the replayability the game has aswell, seriously, soooo much to collect and unlock it drives me mental!

The last game I tried to get into was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Which is a decent game, don't get me wrong, game is a frickin good time waster but, I don't believe it was worth the $90AUD price tag, in the beginning I thought so, but as I played on I realised something, I'd been fighting the same enemies repeatedly no matter what location I went to, the final stake through the heart was when so mix things up they gave me two of the same enemy to defeat instead of the normal one. So it was quickly returned for Metal Gear Solid 4.

I was a major fan of Metal Gear Solid 3, loved everything about it, played it religiously every day for hours on end, always enthused, but, my fricking god, people weren't fucking about when they talked about the amount of cut scenes in the god damn thing. I enjoy a good cut scene or two before or after a mission but breaking up a mission for a 20 minute piece of crap on DNA is just a little bit of bullshit I believe, then their was the unskippable cutscenes inbetween acts to try and get through, but at least you had the tiny little Metal Gear to play around with (Although it is really wrong that you can't sit there and whip Sunny for half an hour). I honestly don't enjoy it on a level as much as other people apparently have, I mean, decent yes, but thats about as far as it goes, walking around for 15 minutes hiding from a guy is not my way of having a good time, I mean, Act 3 isn't even tense following around that resistance wanker, plus Otacons bitching when I decide to let loose and pop him in the skull gets annoying.

I have a Wii also, it is kinda busy sitting there at the moment to do anything mentionable, I gave MadWorld a try but it just couldn't hold my interest very long. I'm hoping Fat Princess will suck me in though with some beautifuly chaotic online battles.

Thats about all from me at this present time.

Ciao!
