I was going to say Children of Men. Very good movie that I think many people missed out on.

Attack the Block seems like it'd be nice to watch in a random movie marathon. You need to have the Big Lebowski in there somewhere. Hot Fuzz is great. Throw The Fall and District 9 in there. Maybe Total Recall and The Devil Wears Prada too. Have a good 'all over the place' marathon.
I just read the title and came in here to say: Watch "The Room"!
You seriously have to watch this movie, everybody should, it is one of those movies that you have to experience in your life!
Also a fun fact about the movie: Apparently Tommy Wiseau (the producer, director, writer and the "actor" playing the lead role) funded the movie at least partially by importing leather jackets from Korea :)

Yeah, it really wasn't advertised much at all. I was lucky and saw a commercial for it once, just once. Had to wait for it to come out on DVD before I could watch it because the closest theater to me that was showing it was about an hour and a half to two hours away, and I think they only had it for one weekend. It's a shame the movie wasn't given a proper chance.
I'm unsure of movies you could watch, but i would recommend some tips and questions to think of before the marathon.
1. How many people will be there?
2. Picking a theme or a collection of movies is a good idea.
3. Call around 15 people max.
4. At least 2 movies are needed for a marathon. A good marathon is four or five movies.
5. Send the invites early, so they know when to come.
6. Have it at your house, if you are the host/hostess.
7. Order exotic food, like indian or chinese.
8. Try to socialize in the breaks, put on music etc.
9. Close curtains, dim lights!
10. How long will you stay up?
11. Snacks are a must. Popcorn is a must. Potato chips are also a plus, buy at least about 6 bags of chips and about two boxes of popcorn before the marathon. Soda is the best drink.
12. What will you eat when the snacks are all eaten or the guests are tired of snacks and want a real meal? Burgers? Pizza?
13. Make sure you have room and get it comfy with pillows and blankets.
Have fun :D
@InternetCrab : Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately i will only have guests for the LotR movies which I will be watching after all. Otherwise, all useful thanks a lotte :)! There will be 13 people for them, invites already sent and we have an awesome Indian place nearby where we will be ordering from. Unfortunately, the guests won't have time due to them attending a protest, which i won't be going to because I am both a lazy bastard and have a cold.
Blow 215 minutes of your marathon on...
...it's pure bliss! Except for the horribly miscast nordic cutiepie Malin Akerman. Would it have been that hard to find/cast a younger version of Carla Gugino or Monica Belluci - a curvy, meaty, buxom latina/italo-american vixen? Oh well - other than that, I 'effin love the Ulitmate Cut of the Watchmen! So good.
It's 3,5 hours. Big whoop!

Melancholia, Everything Must Go and Oldboy if you want a "I don't want to be happy" marathon.
No one wants that kind of marathon. :/
@Jeust: Shaun of the Dead is an amazing movie as well. Highly agree with that choice!!
Some good recommendations thrown your way for sure. A few good-time satires worth putting on your blindspot list, in case you haven't seen them, are Idiocracy, Office Space (who hasn't?) and In the Loop (if you thoght you knew how to swear, this verbal back-stabbing political comedy will have you reconsider). With In The Loop, because of its master-class merits in spewing foul language beyond imagination, watch it with subtitles. Really, the screenwriters of this film make an art out of swearing, so make it a prioroty to watch it with subtitles, otherwise it just flies above your head.
