Socialism encourages laziness

"So after visiting France I came back to the states as a huge supporter of Capitalism. Somebody talked about Bill Gates and how he earned his riches. That may be true. But I must insist, that he has only done 'more' and not what is 'needed'. I can guarantee you, all the work Bill Gates has done in his life, was entirely unecessary and that he, as well as us, would be able to live a good life without any of it.

So I say, cut all the taxes. The man takes none of your cash. Instead, turn all the work, your tax-dollars pay for, into a duty. The call of duty! Citizens! Compatriots! Work for your freedom. Earn your equality! Serve yourself best, by serving your society first.

Capitalism is the lie. It's the proverbial cake. 99 out of a 100 people out there, don't get to eat the cake, because they are the cake. I am quite positive, you aren't the one actually getting to eat the sweet cake. Windowshopping just takes you that far. Unless you chose to be ignorant of that fact, you must agree, capitalism cannibalizes on democracy. In fact, democracy is the lie and capitalism is the fact. Go figure.

I don't like socialism.

America is quickly turning into a socialist country which makes me sad:( The goverment basicly owns the auto industry now it was the same with russia but hopefully we won't end in commuinisum and evently complete govermental break down. People are inheirinly both greedy and stupid but thats just the way humans are. The greedy ones  take advantage of the stupid ones Which sounds fair if you ask me. Let me give an example: an oil tycoon buys up large amounts of land he feels will have oil. The men who sell him the land think he's crazy and sell the land for what they think is a large sum. The oil tycoon strikes it big and make billions, now thats a simple idea of how capitalisum works... risks. This is how our country was formed. No where in the constitution does it say that the government is respausible for giving hand outs. They give you the FREEDOM to pursue your dreams but it's up to you to obtain that dream not the government's. But in a socialist socity that oil tycoon would be forced to quote "spread the wealth around" sound familiar? to the chumps who (realising that they were dolts) now expect a piece of the pie. Why should he be made to give his profit away? He owns the land and everything under it. The people who sold it were right happy when they thought they were right. They had a chance and they blew it, to fuckin bad. If they wanted to be rich they should of been prepared for the consiquenies of failure. The tycoon was and thats why he's rich. Don't expect to get rich by sitting on your ass assuming you deserve it. Grow some balls and go get it but keep in mind that not everyone wins.

So yes capitalisum encourages greed and compitition but there's nothing wrong with being greedy. All being greedy is is watching your own back first which is smarter than letting someone else watch it for you.

Maybe the auto industry should have got its act together, or maybe it's just time for the auto industry to die and be replaced with something that will go along with the times.

Socialism doesn't give a hand outs, it allows the workers to run the business field they are in so some fat cat can't take advantage of them. We could still have a functioning capitalist society and be socialists. The only difference would be that businesses would step on less people to get to there goals.

Capitalism will extincted after current economic turn down, and it sucks and it's based on millions of bloods of poor workers over petroleum fields and blown heads by arms exportation, but paying unemployed people extra money increases retardation.

Democratic socialist countries don't actually become poor by default. Having some controll over market forces
helps coushin' economic crisis, and is often instrumental in creating new strong industries for semi- developing countries.
For a rich country having an un- even tax system means the less fortunate are empowered to take the same kinds of decicions as everybody else, leading to higher education. Even in a country as rich in natural resources such as Norway, the population still acounts for 70% of the state revenues (indicating how much the population is worth to the state). In return the state strives to give each person equal oportunities for personal developement, and extra help during a crisis (such as a medical crisis).
By lessening the gaps in one dimention (rich and poor) it is easier to overcome other, unnatural social cleavages such as ethnic boundaries. As good as a liberal market economic economy is for motivating it's population, it is actually pretty faulty without proper legislation.

Well, I'm just going to point out one little thing then I'm going to leave. Yes, Bill Gates did do a lot of work to get money, and he did contribute to society (although he was a filthy bastard at points too). The average 55-64 year old has a net worth of $843,800 dollars. Bill Gates on the other hand is 53 years old and is worth around 40 billion dollars. Has Bill Gates done 47404 times more work than those people with average net worth? No, nowhere near. Sure, some inequality is to be expected in any society but that's a bit ludicrous.

Also, we're talking about SOCIALISM here, not Communism. Socialists aren't going to come to your home, silence your free speech, take all of your money and guns so they can give it to the poor to kill your god, they're just regulating the economy. Socialist economies are just large swaths of free-market with some government intervention in there to cushion the blow of economic problems and to promote new industries and such.
