Starting a dirty business

Okay, hear me out. People hate cleaning up after their dogs and I don't mind it (as long as I don't know the dog personally). I was thinking about starting a business where I go and clean all the Sukamons out of someone's yard. I could charge someone $10 a week to come by and do it for them. The area where I live is a small town with dense neighborhoods and lots of dogs (you can hear them right now) so it's not even going to cost me much for gas. Getting bitten by a dog and the actual work are the only real downsides. I post this because people on forums seem to be really good at pointing out how I'm wrong, or they think of things I didn't.

I personally wouldn't pay someone to do a job that takes me less then 5 minutes to do a week. But I am sure someone would?

As far as the actual idea; if you can get enough people to make it worth your while, go for it, but I doubt it, this is more of a chore to earn an allowance than a job, and how are you going to approach people on it?

"Hey, I noticed your lawn is covered in shit, would you like me to take care of that for you?" People that leave shit on their lawn don't care that there is shit on their lawn.

What is wrong with getting a job at McDonalds or Walmart?

I'm sure there's someone out there too grossed-out to clean up after their dog(s).

Good idea, its just getting the word out there, you could have business cards printed. Or flyers printed, and stick them up in your local comunity board.

They say that the ideas people find the silliest are the ones most likely to succeed. I say go for it and try it out. It will take work going around advertising your idea and if I had a Dog I would most likely pay $10 for it myself. Don't think it's stupid until you fall flat on your face, than look to another idea to make that money.

Go for it dude! I live in Beavercreek Ohio and we have a local company here that cleans up pet waste called the "Poopie Police". They make a good amount of money.

That and there should be some substances that should inhibit pets from pooping in the places it is set uppon. You should look into that too. Spraying something like that from time to time would reek some good money.

Be clear is it 10 bux a week for you to show up everyday? Then it might work but if its 10 bucks a week to show up once a week and clean up accumulated shit then 10 is too much. No way someone will pay you 10 bucks for 2 minutes of work...

I don't know how profitable it is but I think you should at least give it a shot and see how it goes. You should also charge extra if you spot any corn in the poop. Then ask why there's even corn in dog poop. Oh, and make sure you tell them that you just don't do dogs. Gotta expand the business you know?
