Vegas, baby!
I'm off to Las Vegas for the weekend. Quick weekend getaway with the wife and no kids. We're staying at the Paris and have tickets to Ka on Saturday night.
Any recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. while we are there? I've been to Vegas a few times, but have barely begun to scratch the surface of all Sin City has to offer.
One of my favorite things strip-related is the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. If you want the awesome combination of beer, sausage, and polka check out the Hofbrauhaus, just east of the strip at Harmon and Paradise.
If you're willing to leave the strip, you should check out Red Rock Canyon. It's pretty damn rad, for a nice drive through or a hike if you've got the time.
I just went two weeks ago for my bachelor party. We went to Craftsteak at the MGM, and it was f'n fantastic, though ludicrously expensive. We were going to hit Joe's Stone Crab on Saturday, but didn't have time to wait out the line, so we went back to the MGM and got sushi at Shibuya. Also very, very good. My one disappointment with the casinos was beer selection. I did find a place called Pour 24 at NY, NY that had some good craftbrews, and the MGM at least had Anchor Steam on tap.
I didn't see any shows or anything; I played poker and blackjack at Planet Hollywood. I dug the vibe of that place, and the go-go/pole dancers certainly made it more interesting. Next time I go, I want to see Love.

But only because there's like a whole year untill I have the money saved up to go to the States.
But that.. Sounds totally awesome! o.O
I'm up early. We had dinner at Spago in the Ceasar's Forum Shops last night. I had a blue cheese crusted filet over potatos lyonnaise and my wife had a roasted half chicken over mashed potatos with veggies. The desserts were delish: chocolate brownie with toffee ice cream and berries and banana crepes wtih chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut. Great spot for dinner, and the prices weren't too outrageous.
Forum shops were kinda cool too. My wife got some cool kicks at Niketown.
Gonna let my wife sleep a little more, then hit the tables and breakfast buffet. I'll throw down some college football bets and watch some good games while the wife hits the spa. Then hopefully Mon Ami Gabi (french restaurant in the Paris) and Ka tonight.
One of the best things about Vegas is the people watching. So much craziness and inhibition going on everywhere you go. Thanks for the earlier recommendations and comments guys.
