  • Both are good, it depends. The best are when they just come out of the oven and are nice and warm. Chocolate chip cookies with milk? Hell yes. Not too hard and crunchy, but if they have some is also nice.

  • @natetodamax:  That wasn't reworded to my liking, I did a quick CTRL + F and found nothing. Anyhow, I'll stop being off-topic. I didn't play L4D that often, so the only time I was kicked was for actually having an interest in playing the damn game, where as my "team" had an interest in horsing around.  Can't have everything, I suppose.

I have faith in Valve. I believe Episode 3 will make it next year, and it will be epic. It isn't taking this long for no reason, I believe in Valve.  I mean honestly, if they push out another game (even if it's Portal 2), before Episode 3 or it has no announcements after 2010, I'm just going to consider it vaporware. I'm not crazy, right, right?

I'm going to go with the pack and pick NO over CAR. I swear, if CAR ends up winning that game...  HOU-IND and NO-CAR are two games that are asking for upsets.

  • Diablo III...oh, that's right, probably not coming out next year. :(  As of right now, Mass Effect 2. Unless some announced game comes around, which will probably happen, or Diablo III somehow makes 2010 (which it won't). I have been taking greater interests in Mario Galaxy 2, God of War III, and the Last Guardian, however.

The original announcement at E3 06, the delays pushing the episodic content further back, and the fifty million dollars. Several months after the original details of the downloadable content were revealed, the Lost and the Damned is finally here. The Lost and Damned packs a new storyline featuring a new character, new modes, weapons, and vehicles, and even some controversy to go along with it. After all of the mentioned events, people want to know if it lives up to the hype. Subtly put, Lost and Damned packs more features to make fans ponder what will be in the next downloadble content.

Enter Johnny Klebitz, the intern-president of a biker game named "The Lost." He is in charge while their actual leader, Billy Grey, is in rehab. Johnny believes in a more peace and civil attitude towards rivaling biker gangs, but once their leader is released, they begin to clash over leadership and subsequently ways to lead the gang. Johnny appears as a more sensible and civil man, in contrast to his more radical and foolhardy superior. The Lost clash with rival gangs, which include the "Angels of Death." There will be several times throughout the game where it will show several different missions in Johnny's perspective, as you will get to meet Grand Theft Auto IV main character Niko Bellic once again. The Lost and the Damned features the usual GTA-missions, but with a new twist. Since you are in a biking gang, you will almost always be in a formation with a group of bikers. Spots will be designated in this formations allowing you to regain health, and repair your bike. The Lost and Damned features many cop-evasion missions, and if you weren't a fan of them, like myself, these misions will be quite annoying. I was never a fan of trying to evade cops under a 3-star and 4-star radius. Even some risque nudity takes place, and Rockstar stepped over the line in an audacious move.

Your cell-phone makes another return, and had the standard options from Grand Theft Auto IV. Small differences include: calling people to back you up, going out for different games, and getting your bike. Lost and Damned also includes several different mini-games, such as arm wrestling and betting on high and low. Arm wrestling is mapped to the right analog, which dares you to move it back and forth. Warning: your analog stick might just break. None of these mini-games are worthwhile, and they are just that: mini-games. Lost and Damned will probably run you 5-6 hours if you just hit the story mode, and you can easily push into the double-digits if you wish to fool around and try out the other activities. Different activities include racing, which allows you to challenge fools in Liberty City on your bike, and even knock those suckers down with you bat. The other new activity is Gang Wars, which allows you to fight other gangs in Liberty City for turf. It is good to see these new features, because they give a sense of nostalgia, in homage to San Andreas.

Several new weapons make their appearances in Lost and The Damned, such as the automatic and sawn-off shotguns, and pipe bombs. What makes the sawn-off shotgun even more lethal (or just more awesome to use), is blasting some fool on your bike. A grenade-launcher gun also makes its appearance as well. One of the bigger aspects of Lost and the Damned is the ability of checkpoints in the midst of the mission. An oft magnified in GTA IV was being prompted to the beginning of the mission, after you failed it. That is no longer present, assuming you progressed somewhat in that mission, you will spawn at a designated section of the mission. This is great, but unfortunately this does not update in GTA IV.

Lost and the Damned packs several features in the online aspect, such as a new mode which allows you to gain control sections of the city. Lost and Damned continues the tradition of great voice-acting in GTA games, and you will be seamlessly giggling throughout. One of the more disappointing drawbacks to this package was the fact that none of this would be integrated into Grand Theft Auto IV. All of this is a stand-alone expansion, so you will not be able to take any of the new weapons into the original game.

For what it is worth, The Lost and Damned is essentially a third of the game, both length and price wise. Lost and Damned packs more content and playing time then some games you will find on the market, and all GTA fans should give this a look.
As I touched upon before, the only faults I could find in this package is that it isn't integrated better with Grand Theft Auto IV. With all of that being said, Johnny Klebitz makes a great main character. While everyone powers through The Lost and Damned, we should now look into where the next episode will take us. The controversy, the story, the new features, everything you would expect in a GTA episodic pack is here, and it is great.

Hey guys, Karmum here again, trying out this "blogging" thing. I'm going to keep it short, some of you may be aware of my GTA IV review (which I posted back at launch), received some mild acclaim. Not here to talk about that, actually, I sort of am. Here to tell anyone that cares I'm going to go through my GTA IV review and fix all of the mistakes (which it is clearly made of, absloutely riddled with). Probably will post it back up, less mistake-free.

Also want to point out I will probably be contributing more towards the user reviews, because i have totally neglected what I intended to originally set out to. I will try and post a few up, but as some of you know, I'm still obligated towards the website I write for. Whatever, I hope to throw down a couple game reviews that don't pertain to games I don't get from them. I hope, I will probably procrastinate the fuck out of that. After all, I have this Gears of War 2 MP guide in the works, that I haven't touched in almost two months. I need dudes to help me on that, not working out quite well. So yeah, I suppose that is it for now.

Cheers.

I'm certainly not the only one who has encountered some of the painstakingly annoying Xbox Live users. I have been on Xbox Live for about five years, but I only have noticed this problem, which I would like to say that is serious, only in the past year or so. For the most part, I'm sure all of you have also encountered these same situations, but I suppose it is time to shed some light on the situation if you surprisngly have not encountered these users.

  • Racism - Even though there is the ability to mute users, and to report these users, it is extremely frustrating to run into these people in literally each match I play. If people are so degenerate are pathetic that they need to "vent' their anger out on people on a video game, it shows how pathetic you are. The idea of racism is a joke, but you always run into those users in an Xbox Live match, and once you hear it one to many times, the option of muting and reviewing just begins to drive you to the point of insanity, or in which you want to retalitate back. It is so ignorant of people to just somebody of what they look like or what their race is, and to belittle somebody over a video game just deteriates your reputation online even more.
  • Kids - Alright, I don't have much room to talk here, because I'm only 15, so my voice isn't exactly "adult" like, but you run into kids online probably in every match. I wish their was an option for parent's to deactivate microphones, because I wish the parents could hear some of the words that come out of the kid's mouth. This actually is for the kid's sake, too, because along with racism on Xbox Live, kids get belittled to a point that they won't want to play the game again. But for the most part, this section of the rant is towards the kids who attempt to act "tough", and try and take on some of the older users. While it is actually quite hilarious for the most part to hear these kids talk, it is also quite annoying, and then, then you manage to somehow run into these few.
  • "Moderators" on Xbox Live - I wish the people at Microsoft would get moderator-like people on Xbox Live, who can give you live support, and the ability to ban/suspend users on-the-fly. Racism, in my opinion, is a permanent ban, first offense. It is extremely ignorant and pathetic that somebody wants to belittle somebody else. With users like this, you could message them and report users directly, and more so, live. You could also get witnesses who were at the match to support you, and could get these people off Xbox Live even quicker. Just a suggestion to throw out there, and if Microsoft says they are dedicated to make the community more friendly, they need to listen to the communities ideas, because there are some awesome ideas that are produced out of the community.

I know I could probably list a hell of alot more issues, but I'm drained out for the most part, so I listed the most obvious and most talked about issues in this blog entry (aside from the moderator thing), so that is it about now. So, when you are on Xbox Live next time, and you hear some user shouting some racist bigotry, or some immature brat child shouting some obcenties, you know that Xbox Live is in need of some serious community-overhaul. Or if you manage to encounter this for the first time, hopefully, you come to realize that there is a serious problem online.
