I personally watch most of em on computer. LCD Computer > SD TV. I think the advantages of watchin it on a comp is u can split screen (like im doing right now with GB and South Park: The Movie) with searching the web and gaming. Iv got tons of movies comp format so its realy much better than digging threw dvd's. Although watching on the couch dose feel more comfortable n relaxing. What do u think?
Watching movies on TV vs Computer
I usually watch movies on my TV. First I have a Macbook so I can easily lay in bed and watch movies/TV in bed while posting like I am doing now. I also have a desktop PC about 3 feet away from fore mentioned TV that I use for computer stuff and just have my TV on then for movies. It usually works better since then you can have both at full screen and the TV has better clarity and resolution(upconverts DVD's and plays Blu-Rays).

I get distracted and lose interest and then I usually end up on Facebook or watching porn.
I have a 65 inch HDTV at home so I like that...then again Laptop is very nice too...I can lay back in my bed and watch videos and go to sleep.
I tend to use my computer simply because i torrent more than buy, but now that I know i can hook my External HD to my ps3, when i get a HD tv imma use that.
I actually do prefer watching movies on my computer. Even a regular DVD looks better on my monitor than it does on my SD TV. Mainly though, I torrent all of my movies so I have them all saved on my computer, and I can instantly watch them whenever I want without having to fumble around with discs.

Someone probably bumped it and then deleted their post. Or their post got deleted by a mod.
I'd love to know how this looks now, what with streaming movies being so common these days and with computer monitors being bigger and TV's being more like computer monitors anyway and with the influx of new PC gamers we've seen over the past few years. Netflix has become pretty huge, too - I don't think I know anyone who doesn't have access to Netflix. Sure, that stuff's easy to access on a TV, but it's even easier to open a tab and start watching Netflix on a computer.
Someone above said this
My TV can double as a monitor, so sometimes I can just plug in my laptop whenever I want to watch something that is on like hulu.com or something.
and my immediate thought was "duh, pretty much everyone's TV can double as a monitor these days" before realizing that this thread is 8 years old.
Anyway, for an answer that's relevant to the thread - both? My TV and entertainment center are literally right next to my computer desk, my computer is plugged into my receiver and that goes out to the TV, so if I want to watch something on Netflix or whatever it's literally a matter of just dragging the window over to the other TV. If it's on a blu-ray disc, I have to play that through one of my consoles.
