What do you think of people who open too much threads on a forum?

I read them if I think they might be entertaining, occasionally laugh and move on. They aren't causing any harm, and they're better than topics that become filled with hate and anger, so why not, I say? People do what people do, and the great thing about it all is that you can choose to look at it or not, and the world will turn regardless.

Side note: much more entertaining are looking for locked threads, since they can occasionally provide solid gold fun to read (or just abject anger, which I just ignore.)

I'll usually open the first few threads, but if the front page is literally covered in near identical threads from the same person I'll eventually just stop opening them and will aim to avoid threads by them in the future.

A lot of those threads seem to come from the new members who don't stick around to long anyway.

They are the scum of the earth, obviously. What terrible terrible people.

I'd rather read threads about random weird topics then a discussion about how to beat a specific boss or what class is best in some game. Maybe I'm just weird.

I find it weird because I follow the same basic principle, whether it's RL or Internet. And that is, never open up to anyone.

so whats the problem, they're not hurting anyone, they're increasing activity to the site. theres NO downside. unless you wanna be a judgmental dick, then i guess it sucks? i dunno...

If the mods are cool with it then I'm cool with it! Also, sometimes you get some pretty funny people doing it and if they aren't funny then it usually dies down after awhile anyway.

I see no problem with trying to incite discussion. This thread akin to asking why people respond to many threads, and there's nothing wrong with participating in threads either.

It depends on how stupid the threads are.

I see no problem with it .... heck many a times they are better than regular videogame threads

I usually post in them and make little or no contribution to the 'discussion'. That's how I roll brosef

I don't really care. If the topic is good I'll read it. If not, I move on. I don't feel like there are real spamming issues here. Too few users.

Also: can we stop attacking grammar and spelling, please? It's not funny or interesting and it doesn't make anybody look smart. Stop nitpicking. If you're trying to be helpful, that's ok. But otherwise, find something more insightful to say.

Better than those who uses bad grammers not only in the thread title but in the post too as well also.

I make threads a lot... I try not to make them stupid.

Your English is a million times better than a lot of native English speakers that hop on the internet and proceed to type something with no grasp of grammar whatsoever. The only real problem with your first post is that you should have said "too many threads"; you said "too much threads".

On-topic, I don't know. I don't care, to be honest. And when someone posts a lot of threads, I can know what to expect when popping into one of their threads, so it's something of a small convenience.

I guess Im on the hit list for making too many threads.

It kinda bothers me, but not that much. I can rely on our fine community to chastise them all to hell anyway.

I normally don't notice who the OP is unless they make a LOT of threads but it's not really a big deal, no need to be salty.

I guess it doesn't really bother me. I only look at threads that might interest me from the title so I'm only looking at a select few anyway.

I hate them. I hate them so many.
