I love topics where each side of an argument treats the other side like garbage. You're a moron who just fears change if you hate Alex and you're a moron who'll accept anything Giant Bomb does if you like Alex. No matter what you think somebody on Giant Bomb thinks lesser of you for it. 
 
It's just a guy on the internet, get the fuck over it.

Just read through all of the comments of said video and there are like 2 people who don't like Alex and feel the need to express their feelings about it. 
 
Less drama would be great.

Some people here act like Giant Bomb is Gamespot II. I'm glad it's not. 

Alex is my least favourite of the regulars but he's still ok. My guess is that he's thinking alot about his appearance on the podcasts and videos and it makes him look unnatural because he wants to put on his stage identity. His articles are pretty good though which would fit with that theory.

My guess? Jealous people being upset that he gets payed for writing videogame reviews, and they aren't.
 
Hopefully Alex is thick skinned enough to not take this kind of childish shit personal.

Seem to agree with a lot of people here when I think his writing is superb but is personality is rather abrasive, a bit like when Ryan gets exhaustingly sarcastic/negative about things. Nothing against the guy though. 
 
Also agree with the people that have mentioned his prowess at reviewing games, rather than films. Though, tbh, I think Screened is lacking in a film specialist.

I haven't heard any complaints but I like him!

Some things are just meant to go away after awhile. They were good during it's time, but tend to die out. Sonic the Hedgehog was good up until Dreamcast, but now have went to crap. Myspace was the place to be before Facebook came out of it's university stage. Physical media, the PSP, Heroes, and Gamespot were the happening things, but now... as the grow older, we tend to move onto something else. 
 
I was going to use this point, but I wouldn't know if it helped... 
 

I don't have anything against him I just rarely agree with anything he says. Especially about movies. 

I don't find him as funny as everyone else when he's on the bombcast but I'm glad he's here

His voice is obnoxious.
He gets really loud.  
He seems to relate humor with volume.
He isnt very funny. 
His personality is annoying.  
He doesn't mesh well with the rest of the GB team.   
 
tl;dr 
I think that the four man team has a really good dynamic going, but when Alex shows up he's just loudly making an ass of himself and disrupting the entire flow. 
 
Gotta say though, the man can definitely write a review. He pretty much sold me on Stacking singlehandedly.

I like him;  I half agreed with his Homefront review (Singleplayer is pretty meh, but I really like the MP) but I can't be unhappy with him, he makes quite valid points that truly give you reasons to buy a game or not...so in a way I AM following his review, I did get the game for the reasons he said you should get the game for. 
 
He writes very well and I hope he does more reviews of games the usual GB crew would just skip over.

He used to get on my nerves. He always seems really, really, really excited and gets loud a lot of the times. Just seems very high strung.
 
But for whatever reason none of that really bothers me anymore. Totally love that he's getting in on some GB content.

His reviews are fine, no problem there. His voice pisses me off though

He's probably the regular I take to the least - I find him quite annoying and I agree he doesn't quite fit in the dynamic at times.
 
No big deal, no-one is universally loved.

I enjoy his writing style and find him quite humorous.  Nothing but props for the guy.

I just dislike his mannerisms and his smug attitude. Wish him luck though.

I don't like his humor. That's pretty much why I can get irritated with him on the Quick Looks. That's pretty much it, though. I like his writing.

I'm sure the guys welcome an occasional helping hand with some of the reviews and quicklooks. I'm a fan of Alex talking about either movies or games. He's certainly qualified to do both, and it's great to see crossovers between the different sites. They're all one big happy family, and I appreciate that.

Alex is great, what makes the whiskey family awesome is all the different personalities that are a part of it. I have fond memories of running into Alex and Jeff at GDC shortly after Gerstmann gate and before Giantbomb.

I'm glade Alex reviews games that would never get covered by the usual staff for various reasons (picking up the slack during the many conventions/events that happen throughout the year.) I might not always agree with his reviews on movies or games but thats the beauty of the internet, there is usually some critic out there that has your same views, :P
