  • Original Doom. Back then, that game was scary as fuck.

  • Pirating games is definitely wrong, and it's definitely an issue, but Torchlight is selling fine. It's been on Steam's top 10 since it was released. From what I understand, they base that list off of the amount of money it's bringing in, and not number of units. So if it's tied with MW2 (It's not, just an example), that means that for every copy of MW2 that's sold on Steam, ...

  • It's surprisingly good. I went to see it with my dad for his birthday. I had never watched the original series (I did walk past William Shatner outside of a Quizno's once), but I actually started watching it after seeing this movie. Our two choices were Start Trek, or Wolverine, and I'm so glad we went with Start Trek instead. Really enjoyable. It's definitely a popcorn movie at it's core, ...

  • I think you were both wrong. He's obviously overreacting to the situation, but you definitely should have given him advanced warning that you weren't going to show up for the second day. If I was in his shoes, and you told me (on the first day) that you'd be missing the second day for a personal commitment, I'd probably tell you to not bother coming back at all (unless the ...

  • I'd say give college a little more time before you throw in the towel. It sucks that you've got learning disabilities, but dropping out isn't going to make them go away. We all have our hurdles. You've just have to try that much harder. At least finish your first semester (I'd actually recommend going a full year), before you decide that you're done.   The most important thing is what your ...

  • Trying to get people to properly understand the concept of the 180 degree rule (in film/television), including the director of "Back to School". In his defense, there was a lot of movement in the scene, and he wasn't the only one who was confused.

@Vigilance said: " There I said it.   I realize a lot of folks like that this game is hard, but when that hardness comes from AI so dumb that they chase enemies into flame, and then just stand there drinking health potions in the flame, that's not "hard", that's bad AI.   And of course, I could go on, like characters with bows standing toe to toe with enemies, but really, the fight ...

  • cinemandrew replied to the topic this makes me sort of angry in the Borderlands board.
I actually agree with a lot of what the review said. I still enjoyed the game. I've played about 50 hours of it in single-player thus far (I haven't played multi because I got the PC version, DOH!). Most of his points are entirely valid. They don't bother me as much as they did him, sure, but they're still faults. If you're not that into crazy amounts of loot, and ...

  • cinemandrew replied to the topic Video edting?
Avid? Seriously though, I remember Vegas being pretty approachable. It's been far too long since I've used Premiere for me to offer a decent opinion on it. I personally use Final Cut Studio, but you'd need a mac for that, and it's probably a bit much for what you're looking for. If you want effects, then After Effects is probably your best bet. Good luck with video. I've been putting ...

  • cinemandrew replied to the topic Storage Chest in the Dragon Age: Origins board.
You need to first finish the quest line, which is started from an NPC in the party camp. Once you complete the quest, leave the area, and come back. The storage chest will be available along with a general merchant, and a blacksmith.

  • cinemandrew replied to the topic Dragon Age: Origin's length? in the Dragon Age: Origins board.
I don't know. I've been playing for probably close to 40 hours now, and I don't think I'm anywhere near finishing. I've been doing a lot of side quests, and lengthy conversations. I tend to take a while with games though. I guess I'm just slow.

  • That show is great. I'm actually getting married at one of the locations they shot an episode at. It was really just a wild coincidence, not actually intended. We started watching the show after we picked the place.

http://daforums.bioware.com/viewforum.html?forum=146  Best to check there to see if anyone's found a cause, or solution. The steam forums have been helpful too. Sounds like this game has quite a few known issues. It is a Bioware game after all. Still an amazing game though. Fortunately I haven't been having any major issues on my end. The only problems I have are increasingly long load times (which only get really bad for ...

  • One of the other benefits to installing on the hard drive is that the disk doesn't spin while playing, which will help your drive last longer. You do have to put the disk in to play though. It's inconvenient, but it makes sense. They don't have any other way of verifying that you own, or at least are currently in possession of, a copy of the game.

  • cinemandrew replied to the topic Building a new comptuer, check out the rig. in the PC board.
This is actually pretty similar to the machine I just put together for myself. It looks pretty solid. Only suggestion I have, are maybe consider a smaller PSU if you're going with just one GPU. I have the 650w version of that PSU, and it runs my machine fine (w/one geforce gtx 260). For the GPU, it really depends on how soon you're going to be building it, and whether ...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is great fun, but it doesn't last. (X360)
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a video game developed by Raven Software, the same people that brought us X-Men: Legends I & II, and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (They like colons). They’ve certainly established themselves as one of (if not the) top comic book game developers, but what about a game about ...

So much fun, it hurts. (X360)
I usually don't get that into online play. In fact, this is the first game I've spent more than 30 minutes playing online. Of course I played through the single player first, and loved it. It did seem a bit brief, but that was probably because any time I wasn't ...
