Why do some people insist on having long hair ?

I dunno man, that sounds kind of awesome, in a Heavy-Metal Medusa kind of way.

I used to have long hair and that was because i love Heavy Metal i was emulating my heroes and sure fuck it i do what i want .I also think it is a way to look different and not conform to the norm and be a bit rebellious which can only be a good thing . who the hell wants to look like everyone else thats boring and dull you need a bit of colour or everything just ends up looking grey .plus i'v had a few jobs with long hair and my employers never mentioned it at all .

Mine is long, soft and tidy. Also, I don't grow a beard because I don't like it and it would be overkill.

I don't look like a hobo, people with messy untrimmed beards do.

Long hair feel like shit and look like shit, if you don't take care of them. I shave my head once a month or so, because it's the lowest maintenance haircut. I have short hair, because I'm efficient. Some might say, I am professionally low maintenance. Lazy even. Professionally so.

I had long hair for a spell, until it clogged my shower drain. The shower drain is still kinda clogged 4 years after giving up on long hair, but my head is sure clean shaven once a month. Go figure.
