You're on crack. I am listening to Winamp V. 5.572(latest) and it runs fine. Even runs customs files like video game USF and SPC. Ah old Snowboard Kids music. XD (I got Windows 7 64B running in compatibility mode for XP)

I noticed this last one created some new folders in the Program Files directory related to winamp. One contained a plugins folder.

However it was empty and all my plugins in the regular winamp plugins directory seemed to work fine (Headplug MK II, Milkdrop 2, Volume Logic [not really a plugin as much as an alternate output module]) Vista 32.

Also the new version keeps your pause position in the track after you close it. Great for the Bombcast.

I haven't used Winamp since I had Windows 98 installed in my machine. How is it these days?

It's the only player that still runs Volume Logic (not DSP), so to me it's excellent. I also really like my HeadPlug Mk II DSP (even though some other players support Winamp DSP plugins). Also before Hulu came about, Shoutcast TV was a great place for streaming cartoons and MST3K. I miss the all Futurama channel.
