Too many too choose from -

Hoes with Attitudes.  Really bad knockoff of NWA.

Kid Rock started out as a rapper. I've never heard any of it though, as I don't hate myself.

There is nothing more authentic than Kid Rock. Authentically trying to find money if every genre of music except Classical.

#5 Posted by AlexW00d (6235 posts) -

You should probably make clear you mean one that has been somewhat 'successful', cos I imagine if you looked through youtube you could find some real bullshit.

My answer would probably be almost every modern 'rapper' and any rapper who has even used Autotune a la T-Pain.

I think Nelly is fine, I'll probably have to go with Soulja Boy, Wocka Flocka Flame or Gucci Mane, off the top of my head, but there are a lot of garbage rappers out there.

Soulja Boy, Lil' Wayne, Drake

Kid Rock started out as a respectable underground Detroit Dj

Guys like Wacka Flocka Flame and OJ The Juiceman are a special level of bad quality. I have no problem or dislike for gangsta rap, past or present. I actually like acts such as Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. But the lack of lyrical talent OJ and Flame exhibit is mind blowing. Without the help of producers and genuinely good beats, these guys would still be in their parent's house making less money than a burger flipper. This phenomenon happens every couple of years. I still remember telling my friends Young Joc was going nowhere fast. Now he's disappeared as quickly as the imaginary motorcycle dance he brought with him.

Mosdef...Nah just kidding, it probably is souljaboy. There's literally nothing to him.

WHAT?! While I will not dare argue that they are anything more than a one hit wonder, 'Jump' was the shit back in the day.

I'd go with Soulja Boy or Asher Roth. Those answers need no explanation.

Winner. Also little known fact: Segways + Fridays = Mega Swag
#27 Edited by RedEyesBlueBunny (1011 posts) -

i dont see how it gets much worse than soulja boy, he makes one stupid-ass song that gets popular because it has a trendy dance, then he makes 500,000 versions of it and then all his other songs are for laughing at

HEY! YOU THERE! alright sounds like a song to me

#28 Posted by Xanth93 (485 posts) -
@Axxol: Best response I've heard in a while.

I can't stand rap, but in all seriousness, even the thought of Lil Wayne or Soulja Boy makes me want to die more than cringe. Does Justin Bieber count as rap, because that, too, is awful.

Soulja Boy gets my vote just for "Pretty Boy Swag". I fucking hate that song...

#31 Posted by JacDG (2119 posts) -

Oh yeah, OJ Da Juiceman and Lil B are mostly garbage too,

This is pretty much as bad as it gets, and this dude has made like 1000 songs in a year or something.....

If it's worse than Crank That (Soulja Boy), someone save us all.
#33 Posted by D0tti (786 posts) -

Everlast, Vanilla Ice, Soulja Boy(even though i've listen too some off his songs a few times...), Snow. Probably many more but I can't really remember any others now.

I can't help but use a success to skill ratio, which puts 50 Cent right up at the top of my list.

i don't even consider Soulja Boy, Gucci, or Waka rappers. they're just performers. if you want something with deep lyricism why would you go there?
their songs are perfect for getting drunk and acting ignorant.

i really can't get enough of this song.

now these guys are attrocious. their myspace was hilarious, Beantown Mafia, location: Deerfield.....wait what? (nowhere near boston)
#37 Posted by iam3green (14390 posts) -

all of them i think.

#38 Posted by CornBREDX (5096 posts) -

Pick any current rapper- most likely they suck.

I haven't liked most rap since late 90s or so. There are a few exceptions but sadly a few exceptions don't make up for what is usually successful.

#39 Posted by SaturdayNightSpecials (2370 posts) -

Nelly is fine for what he is.

I guess the worst famous rapper is Lil Jon or anyone else associated with crunk.

Asher Roth and Soulja Boy. I enjoy the Insane Clown Posse, it's fun music. Nothing more, nothing less. Early Kid Rock is kind of terrible, especially on the song Is That You? by ICP, he has a verse. He drops the n word.

You DARE soil the name of Mark Wahlberg!

Just listen to these dope beats:

In reality, Marky Mark may have sucked, but he's way better than 99% of mainstream rap today.  Marky Mark can at least be appreciated ironically while Lil' Wayne and Soulja Boy will never be ironically good.

Early 90's Marky Mark could kick 90% of people here's ass.  Dude was jacked.

Also, Insane Clown Posse.  Because magnets.

Are you trolling, or have you just never listened to music before?
#48 Posted by HarlequinRiot (1098 posts) -

Here's a fun fact: Every time someone says something along the lines "...better than any of that mainstream crap", I want to punch them in the head.

Also, Soulja Boy is pretty amazing. Kid is very funny and one hell of an entrepreneur.
