How the hell is the touch stuff gonna work though? This seems sooooo weird......
And now you can use your PS4 in multiple rooms on multiple TVs using the PSVITA TV.
$100
(approximately)

If you use a PS4 controller, you could use the touchpad... kind of. Then I remember that one game that has you pushing stuff from behind and my mind is taxed.
Incredibly forward thinking move by Sony. A great way to continue to leverage the PS4/Vita connectivity.
It's kind of weird it uses the DS3... Obviously there is no benefit from DS4 since no game would support it's features, but I hope it's still compatible.
Since they showed you using the PSVITA TV with the PS4, it is almost certainly compatible with a DS4 as well.

But it looks like it comes with a ps3 controller
So Vita TV is going to allow you to play vita, psp and psone games one your television, and also allow you to stream you ps4 content onto a second television? Cool.

Two packages - one value pack which comes with the DS3, one without. There was a slide of it.
Count me in for the w/o vita pack. P4 Golden on my TV? DONE.
Somebody explain why the prospect of playing PS Vita and PSP games on the TV is a good one?
Be-Because I can play P4G a third time.
But.. But on my TV this time.

If your TV has a good scaler, they'll look good and you can play them with a real controller (it would be crazy if they don't include the PSVita PSP emulation options eg. enabling the 2nd analogue stick).
But just as cool is that it acts as a fully functional PS4 slingbox, so you can have your PS4 in your living room but play it on any psvitaTV-connected TV in your house.
Oh, and you can now play Vita games (eg. Persona 4 Golden) w/ a $99 initial entry price.

For $100, it makes it a viable way to play PS Vita games, and on a bigger screen. PSP games... probably not, but PS Vita games, sure. Plus watching videos through their Sony service. And using the PSVita TV, you can apparently remote play on other TVs, allowing you to have a PS4 in one room but be able to play in multiple rooms.

Seems to be a Vita enhanced Wi-Fi dongle capable of remote play interaction with PS4 and providing access to Sony's suite of media services. Jup - seems like a smart move to me.
What really needs to happen is for all of the functionality of the psvtv to be available on a vita. If it's using the same hardware (not confirmed?), why cant a vita be used to stream ps4 games to another tv? All theyd need to do is release an accessory to hook a vita up to an HDMI port and it would work
The PS Vita TV is an absolute smart move. Not only will it work as a streaming device (Netflix, etc.), it's a game platform, and a game streamer (PS4). I might have to pick one of these up.
SO this was a pretty good conference but one question is left. What the hell are they going to show at the Tokyo Game Show Key note?^^
The Last Guardian release date, then drops the mic.
