@mrfluke: Hey, yeah that was me who got in contact alright! Who knew a simple Tweet would be so well received! We wanted to wait until the last Quick Look went online before reaching out to The Man so as to respect his journalistic independence. We're in conversation at the moment and I'll pop by here if/when we have something to share :)

this is me making an observation here, they have been waiting for the last quicklook (the year of the snake dlc) to go up before getting in touch so....

again, this is just an observation with no facts behind it, but methinks they want to get in touch with vinny for like a cameo for their next thing. (whether it be sleeping dogs 2 or some more dlc) or hell maybe they just wanna hang out and do a video with vinny :P

or the pipe dream happens, and we get something alone the lines of this :o

i think this would be fine for sleeping dogs 1 considering a review is already up.

Vinny DLC

Showdown: Vinny vs Wei! And we all know the outcome.

DLC where Vinny becomes a Mob boss for the Luchadeers and when you get to Vinny at the end of the DLC, you have a dance off.

Ill say this right now. Ill rebuy Sleeping Dogs with all the DLC if they get Vinny in as DLC of some sort.

id totally spend like 3-5 bucks on a single mission dlc thats essentially this

Remember that string of side-missions where that gang member keeps blowing stuff up and generally causing a big ruckus and then you have to help him escape the cops? I'm thinking one like that but with Vinny's likeness and VO, just squirreled away somewhere as a Face mission in Sleepy Dawgs 2.

Oh man. I want a really Italian-ass Italian Vinny yelling to Wei "Money! Money! Money!" and then Wei breaks his leg, tazes him, throws him in the trunk of a car, and drives the car into the ocean.

but what if you get your own playable vinny :o , or something comes through and you get a vinny costume for sleeping dogs or for its possible sequel :o.

based on the 3 packs of dlc that came out, seems these guys are down for whatever, so lets share vinny :P

Brad Shoemaker makes a special appearance as the mission giver of the DLC, with famous lines such as:

"Oi, Wei! Som'un is goin' round causin' a ruckus around town. I need you to go rough him up a bit, aye mate?"

and

"Oi it's me Brad Shoemaker!"

and

"Aye gots som' them e-mails!"

I would reinstall this game immediately for Vinny-related content.

Oh god does anyone know what podcast it was where Jeff pulled out his inner Shoemaker? I remember bursting out laughing in the bus.

@mrfluke: I think they may want to get in touch with Vinny to see if they might be able to use parts of the Quick Looks to promote Sleeping Dogs and its DLC, because they really do come off as the best salesmen for the game.

Or, yeah, they just want to note that he's awesome. I hope that he stays away so that his future Sleeping Dogs content remains pure.

If Cheapassgamer's CheapyD can get in Saints Row 3 then the Italian Stallion can get in Sleeping Dogs.

This is has the potential to be amazing

Vinny is the new wei of the next game.

Vinny will be the main character in Sleeping Dogs 2, but he won't want his name in the game, so they will rename him something similar, maybe like Lenny.

If they somehow got Vinny in a recording booth and got him to do a few lines for the game, oh man, I'd buy the HECK out of that DLC.

I see this happening more often, given the fact that vinny is the greatest video game player ever, of all time.

I have to get Sleeping Dogs now, does anyone NOT love Vinny. Cause if you do you have no soul.

I haven't bought the DLCs for Sleeping Dogs, but if there's a Vinny-related DLC coming soon, count me the fuck in.

The excitement vinny gets from playing sleeping dogs is what sold me on it. I hope he gets some vo or nod in some way.

That -is- enticing, but I do think it would almost be like Sleeping Dogs jumping the shark. ha. But, hey, maybe they could make it work. (I'm guessing this is still them interested in saying thanks or seeing if they can do something promotional)
