Sam Fisher is the next Operator coming to Rainbow Six Siege

Continuing Sam Fisher's new role of making cameo appearances across various Ubisoft games, he will be the new Operator joining the roster in Rainbow Six Siege next season. The teaser video seems to emphasize night vision which makes me wonder if he will be able to disable lights inside the map. Seems doubtful, but I know that's something players have been wanting since launch.

The full reveal is coming on Sunday. Anyone else excited?

Who the fuck is that and why does Ubisoft think he's Sam Fisher?

Well, they were putting surprising effort in to the Ghost Recon cameos, that was bound to come to an end. My hope wavers.

Ubisoft just keeps teasing us. Assholes. Shameless assholes.

Rainbow Six Siege is the only Tom Clancy game I don't play as it's solely an online, team-based multiplayer experience, so no I'm not excited. Plus, they keep throwing him in a bunch of other Tom Clancy titles. It makes me wonder if they're just trying to satiate fans that want more Splinter Cell as they don't have one in the making. It's also not great to flip-flop on Ironside. If he can't record, I'd rather they not put Sam in the games at this point.

If it isn't Michael Ironside, it isn't Sam Fisher.

@ntm: They posted a bit of lore for his introduction to the game and there was a bit about him moving his headquarters to the Rainbow Six headquarters for some unknown reason, or something. People are speculating it hints at a new game. I dunno.

People have been speculating about Ubi working on a new Splinter Cell game for a few years now. I can't remember if the rumors have ever been substantiated though.
