Unlocks in 5 hours on Steam!

Best First Person Melee system ever, I can't wait. More exploration, more moves, day/night cycle, and you can now attack civilians.

It was a really weird game but not the best game in the world. I'm honestly surprised it got a sequel.

I am so hyped, you don't even know.

#9 Posted by BeachThunder (12082 posts) -

I wanna pre-load ={

I'm oddly excited for this even though I haven't played the first one yet. I own it, so I'll have to play it soon to get this.

it's really rather short, you can easily beat it in a day.

Dude, Zeno Clash is so good.

#13 Posted by Elwoodan (837 posts) -

I'm excited for the game, sure. but what I want even more is a Brad/Jeff quicklook of it.

HYPE level: Parrappa!

#15 Edited by metalsnakezero (2307 posts) -

Going to finish up the first one tonight before doing a run on 2.

#16 Posted by bybeach (4892 posts) -

I didn't get too far in Zeno Clash because I'm not into brawling, but I wish I was for this game.

#17 Posted by Jimbo (9862 posts) -

Sick. Zeno Clash was pretty good, but Father-Mother is one of the best game characters evs.

#18 Posted by AssInAss (2663 posts) -

1 HOUR!

I'm going to have to marathon this game and go fresh, not checking any reviews to colour my opinion.

Man, Zeno Clash controls like a piece of shit.

#20 Posted by BeachThunder (12082 posts) -

Damn you preload, I need more time D:

#21 Posted by Reisz (1516 posts) -

Oh man, I'm glad there are people out there that are way into Zeno Clash, because duuuuuuuuuuude, that aesthetic strips all of the appeal out of that game for me.

It really doesn't.

if it did I would not have all the achievements D:

You're a horrible person for killing 50% of the harmless animals in the game :o

I know!

but they also forced me to play through the game a 4th time to get the street fighter achievement so

Consider me one of the 500 people who bought and loved the first game.

Anybody down for some co-op? I'm gonna buy the game when I get off work.

That's why you have the chain so you never have to get close to them.

Also, I'm stuck. I'm at the (Zeno clash 1 area spoiler) the throne were you met golem and need to open two layers of doors. I can figure out how to open the first door but not the second, anyone managed to get past this part yet that know what to do?

#29 Edited by Animasta (14711 posts) -

@gike987: I think you just need to keep all of the candles lit.

edit; Im dumb and didn't realize you were talking about 2 D:

but speaking on the island and cant figure out how to break the barrier once you get the 4th thing

I AM HYPED.

I'm not talking about Zeno clash 1, it's just that the area is the same. More specific (Zeno clash 2) after you light all the candles and get entrance to the throne you run to the left of the throne past a fast travel point. There you use the glove to open a door. Behind that door is a force field then you remove that force field another one activated behind it and that's the one I can't get past.

edit: when you get the 4th thing link the two orbs and hit one of them.

This game was made from my nightmares. I'm afraid I am not brave enough to venture through it

The only thing i know about this game is that ATLUS is publishing it.

yep, same with me. Back to the first one last night and it's pretty fun still.

#35 Posted by metalsnakezero (2307 posts) -

So far so good. Combat feel a lot smoother and a little more depth to the fighting with additions to combos and grabs.

as one of those folks, Yeah? But I haven't bought it yet.

#37 Posted by TheManWithNoPlan (5793 posts) -

I still haven't played the first one. I think it's sitting on my steam library from a bundle I bought a long time ago. Looks interesting, but so do all the other games I want to play and don't have time to.

#38 Posted by Animasta (14711 posts) -

oh man, the story is super crazy and also very surprising

(I just beat Kax-Teh, for the record)

#39 Posted by SomeDeliCook (2341 posts) -

This has really skipped under my radar. If I wasn't already busy with other games I'd instant buy this, will buy it down the road

#40 Posted by AssInAss (2663 posts) -

This has to be the most imaginative, surreal world I've encountered in a game since Neverhood. I've taken more screenshots than Dear Esther. And it's an actual open world (not as big as a GTA) with fast travel and some sidequests.

Everyone, go into the houses. Some fantastic characters.

Onpa and Averelo (Family Plaza)

The Moth Collector

i am so excited i loved the first but i tried playing when i woke up and i just couldnt.

but i will try again tomorrow when i am in the zone

OMG Rath Birds Fields is like that moment in Ocarina of Time when you walk across the Hyrule overworld for the first time. So expansive, but like on another level of surreality that my mind can't handle.

#43 Posted by Animasta (14711 posts) -

Rath-Bird fields are good, but some of the later areas are just incredible; endworld and the area around that got even better.

#44 Posted by audioBusting (1611 posts) -

@assinass: How does the game play on your laptop when you're not recording? My laptop has the same graphics card, so I figured your laptop's performance would be a good estimate for mine's.

It's actually quite taxing, playing it on 1280x720 with all high settings and I get 20-25 fps. I'm trying to work on the overclocking, but it's still playable.

Oh god, my mind can barely handle Rath Bird Fields. If there's more, I might end up a drooling Corwid of the Free by the end XD

I love this kind of art. I wish more developers would hire some people tripping on acid. I'm also surprised how much work they put into this game. It's jam packed with weird shit in every corner of each level.

#47 Edited by crcruz3 (288 posts) -

I didn't play the first one, but man, this game is good. The aesthetic and story are goofy and crazy, however the combat is just great. It's the best First Person Melee I've ever player. By far.

#48 Posted by AssInAss (2663 posts) -

Golem Hand is AMAAAAAAZING!

Right after you get it, I've been now using all 4 secondary weapons at the same time.

Now in the desert, holy crap my eyes.

#49 Edited by Hamst3r (4516 posts) -

Man, if I weren't already playing FEZ, I would be playing this. Definitely gotta get into this soon after. :O

#50 Posted by Animasta (14711 posts) -

for the record, I beat this in 8 hours

I didn't do all of the side content though, probably just gonna run it through again to get all of those damned boxes.
