Originally a carpenter named Jumpman, this Italian plumber has gone on to become the most recognizable video game character of them all, starring in a veritable pantheon of titles like kart racing and sports. He has been voiced by Charles Martinet for nearly 20 years.
Luigi is Mario's brother. He began as a simple palette swap of Mario, but was later differentiated. In his later forays, he provides comic relief.
Princess Peach Toadstool is usually the damsel in distress from the Mario franchise. She gets kidnapped frequently by Bowser, though she's not averse to being captured by various other villains from time to time.
The Toad is a member of the Toad species. He is a loyal attendant of Princess Peach and often assists Mario on his journeys in a variety of ways.

The Original Donkey Kong made his debut in the game of the same name, where he tossed barrels at his nemesis Mario. His grandson, Donkey Kong Jr., went on to create a legacy of his own in games such as Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
Junior Seau is a retired professional American football player who played linebacker for the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots.
Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the world's most famous video game characters and the mascot of Sega Enterprises Ltd. Sonic was introduced on June 23 1991 with the launch of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. His super speed makes him one of the fastest fictional characters.
Marshall Faulk is an NFL Hall of Fame running back, 2000 NFL MVP, and Super Bowl XXXIV champion.
Wario is Mario's rival and doppelganger; a crude garlic-loving brute with an obsession with treasure. Wario's name is a portmanteau of the word "warui" ('bad' in Japanese) "Mario".
Lakitu has appeared in a variety of Mario games; from Super Mario Bros on the NES right up to Mario Kart 7. He is responsible for dropping Spinies onto the levels below, holding up signs and his very own start signal from all nine Mario Kart games.
Miles "Tails" Prower is Sonic the Hedgehog's two-tailed sidekick who was first introduced in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Made his first appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and is now a mainstay in the franchise. He also enjoys a friendly rivalry with Sonic and rapping about the places he visits.
Paul Pierce is a retired basketball player. He spent most of his career with the Boston Celtics, winning a championship in 2008. He also played for the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Clippers.

Peyton Manning is a retired NFL quarterback who spent 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and 4 seasons with the Denver Broncos. He is the son of former Saints quarterback Archie Manning, and older brother of New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

Dirk Nowitzki is a retired German basketball player who played for the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA.

Kobe Bryant was an American professional basketball player who played his entire 20-year career for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. Fans also call him the Black Mamba and El Vino.
Jason Kidd is an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers. He formerly played for the Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, New Jersey Nets, and New York Knicks. He is also a former head coach for the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.

Vince Carter is a retired American professional basketball player who last played for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association. Steve Nash is a Canadian former professional basketball player who is the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. He played 18 seasons in the National Basketball Association and was an eight-time NBA All-Star and a seven-time All-NBA selection. Twice, Nash was named the NBA Most Valuable Player while playing for the Phoenix Suns.
