    Games for Windows - Live

    Concept »

Microsoft's PC branch of its Live service. Lends the same functionality as Xbox Live Gold to Games For Windows games including cross-platform compatibility for achievements, friends & messages, downloadable content, and in some cases, multiplayer.

Is this the only way to get the Fallout DLC for PC?

I think the answer is yes, but i want to check , i do not want to sign up for another mindless service, especially one that is as poorly made as GFWL. I have steam already, they should just put it on there, and im not getting MS points, i refuse to use fake money. But i want to go back to the wasteland, kill some mutants and see what pure water looks like. Is that too much to ask?

So does anyone know if they have any plans to release the DLC somewhere else? Or is microsoft a company of idiots who dont want to make money?

@Mikemcn: That is the only way to download them.... legally.  They will also be released in packs of two in retail, then game of the year version will release sometime in October(?).

Yeah man, I would just wait for the game of the year edition. That is what I'm doing I think it comes out October 13th or something around there.

October 13th, I believe.  Anchorage/Pitt and Broken Steel/Lookout are already on retail shelves for $20 each.  Mothership Zeta will be made available at retail through the GOTY edition.
