Campaign

i always play the campaigns first. i just preordered it on amazon. looking forward to it alot actually. surprised since i ignored it up until recently

I'd be diving into the campaign on co-op first but none of my friends are doing the midnight launch and I promised to wait to begin that with them so its multiplayer first for me.

I've never understood people who dive straight into the Multiplayer. Single-player first, then co-op (campaign & Horde), then maybe if I have time, ze multiplayhuh.

I should play the campaign first... but probably won't :( 
 
Now, if only I could stop thinking about this game and get some work done...

I've been missing the multiplayer ever since the beta ended, but I will still play Campaign first.  I will probably hop on a few multiplayer matches on launch day just to curb stomp some dudes.

I will probably focus on the Campaign but will mess around with the multiplayer before completing the story mode

Campaign. I typically only play the campaign in Gears of War.

Campaign mode hands down. Some of the multiplayer stuff looks good. But Gears is a game i go to for the story. I really want to see how they wrap it up.

Campaign first, always. I might not even play the multiplayer all that much, depends.

Horde mode seems really interesting though.

Campaign definitely. Over the course of the last four days I finished Gears 1, even the PC exclusive chapters (they were some of my favourites of the whole series so far, shame they didn't get ported) and then Gears 2 along with the DLC chapter. I'm frothing at the mouth to get back into the story.

Always campaign first. That's the rule.

Campaign. I knew I would come to Gears 3 for the story. Also, Comcast is fucking up here in my house for the past few months, so multiplayer is not an option (at this point.) Unless I like to lag every 3-5 seconds, which I don't.

@spankingaddict: I've always gone into Gears and Call of Duty Games on Full Throttle out of the gate. So much more fun IMO.

Multiplayer is fun with friends...if I had any friends. lol.

Campaign first although i've seen how it plays out. Then play horde/beast for like the next month til i Batman drops. Don't care too much for the competitive stuff

Why wouldn't you play the campaign first?

Campaign for me too. Never got into Gears competitive multiplayer. Maybe this will change with Gears 3? I dunno.

Makes me mad when people buy games with awesome campaigns just for the MP, sadly that's most of CoD players.

Probs do what I did with Halo Reach and Halo 3, play a few hours of Campaign then hop into multiplayer for a bit.

People have been talking about "conclusion" pretty heavily. I want to see that as soon as possible.

Got home yesterday and played Beast Mode on casual all the way through with 2 friends, then played about 10 waves of Horde, then 3 matches of Team Deathmatch. Campaign is something I need time for, and can wait until everyone online is too good for me to hang with.

Played a few campaign chapters. played a few TDM matches.

I haven't even touched any of the single player since I got the game, it's been strictly multiplayer for me. This is never the case but this time, I'm waiting for my friend who's gonna come over in a few days to play co-op with me.
