    Overview

    Golden Tee Fore! is a golf simulation game developed and released by Incredible Technologies for arcades (using their PC-based "Eagle" hardware) in 2001.

    The third major iteration of the Golden Tee series (after Peter Jacobsen's Golden Tee 3D Golf and its yearly updates), Golden Tee Fore! features a new real-time 3D graphics engine, a larger amount of courses (in both 18-hole and 9-hole varieties), automatic volume adjustment, the ability to mulligan shots (as a microtransaction), and audio commentary by professional sportscasters Pat Summerall and Peter Jacobsen.

    It also features numerous online services (dubbed "ItNet"), allowing tournament and league play both local and worldwide, player-based stat tracking (making use of a dedicated card reader and special Golden Tee Gold Cards), support for playing against previously-recorded players, and special operator features (including remote bookkeeping and adjustments).

    Like the previous installment, Golden Tee Fore! featured yearly updates from 2002-2006, each featuring a new roster of courses. These include Golden Tee Fore! 2002, Golden Tee Fore! 2003, Golden Tee Fore! 2004, Golden Tee Fore! 2005, and Golden Tee Fore! Complete. Unlike the previous installment, there were no special "tournament edition" versions. Since the 2004 update, operators can buy an "EXtra Add-on" kit that adds two additional courses for all versions. It was then superseded by Golden Tee LIVE and its updates.
