Gorogoa

Gorogoa is an interesting and artful game that presents the user with no spoken story or characters, but still enraptures you in its fiction. I found myself reminiscing about children's search puzzle books The Eleventh Hour, somehow matured and combined with Rube Goldberg-esque machinery contained in a space-bending Birdman one-shot. The ways that they have you playing with perspective both physical and temporal are wonderful. The game is brief but delivers largely successfully on its reflection on life, time, faith, and duty.

I'm not sure it all ties together in a manner that makes sense to me, and more importantly RE the gameplay you run into several puzzles that drag out. I found myself looking at guides a few times, as this in not a game that is excellent in giving you every tool you need to continue. Some answers are quite obscure and not in a puzzling or thoughtful way. There are a few times when you feel the answer is clear and you're doing it but the game has a slightly different answer.

I would recommend this game to anyone who I thought would be a good fit for it. It's a very enjoyable and interesting experience and the way it proceeds as a "single shot" passing thru space is very impressively done.
