Saw this one on GAF so credit to them.
There's a new GT5 trailer out and about, apparently on the God of War 3 disc. It shows a bit of night racing before going into the self-indulgent car porn you'd expect from a GT trailer.
I'll recommend you all watch it in 720p. It still looks pretty gorgeous as expected. Every new trailer always serves to bum me out about how long this game has been in development. I just wanna play the damn thing.
The damage model still looks odd. You see a car spinning out and getting hit at 1:37. It doesn't really convey a sense of impact. It needs more particles; sparks or paint being scraped off. It all looks a bit too canned and the animation too stiff. I suppose it's progress over nothing and it's really the fault of the car manufacturers, but i'd like to see them go much further.
Thoughts? Is your hype for GT5 way past dead at this point?
